Hotel chosen thanks to some reviews read, since I needed a base between the provinces of Gorizia and Udine to spend the night before going to Abano Terme for spa treatments and after stopping in Friuli. I am happy to have chosen this wonderful "Le fucine" resort, splendid in all its aspects, choosing the most functional and economical accommodation solution that suited me on their website. They satisfied all my requests: having the room on the highest floor possible and very close to the lift, given my walking difficulties. For dinner, I also took advantage of the fantastic gourmet restaurant, which certainly deserves to be included in gastronomic guides with at least one Michelin star. I congratulate the famous Danieli steel industry, which stands here in front, for wanting to create this oasis which reflects all the principles of eco-sustainability. If I can find a single flaw, I unfortunately had to note that the mattress was excessively hard for my tastes and my back, but this detail can be completely remedied by adding a Topper upon request. I will definitely return and "Le Fucine" will certainly be a strategic point of reference for my travels both in Friuli and Austria.

The relevant things that convinced me to give 5 pellets are: cleanliness! Really congratulations to those who do the cleaning, moreover people always smiling when you meet them in the corridor and very good (we are very attentive to cleanliness). Then the care in modern and design furniture, this hotel is an excellent investment of the Danieli company. Then the choice of the top quality bed! Very comfortable! The staff at the reception very friendly, in short we were very happy with this stay. I would like to make a couple of notes on which we can improve, aiming for perfection: in the room more clothes hangers and an extra waste basket are useful. Finally the breakfast was good and plentiful but improveable in the choice of quality products. The breakfast staff sometimes a bit cold and dry, I understand that working in the morning with people just awake is not always so pleasant, but every job has its less nice tasks and not all are suitable for contact with the public. I can guarantee that this structure has nothing to envy to others of a higher category, indeed, especially with regard to the staff of which I have an excellent consideration, but not only of some as often happens when dealing with different figures with different duties in an accommodation facility, really everyone is very kind, very professional and above all extremely available, from the front desk reception, to the breakfast girls, to the staff of the Brasserie for dinners, to the staff of the Gourmet restaurant with the metre that is really a very prepared guy, to the cleaning ladies. In my last stay on New Year's Eve, I also took part in their proposed New Year's Eve dinner, what can I say, everything perfect, excellent organization, even the younger boys have proved very kind and extremely helpful, you can see that at the base of this hotel there is a group of people who train and "educate" the staff with certain criteria and principles that, personally, I appreciate very much. Usually there could be problems of various kinds with new structures and instead they are all fantastic and would have a lot to teach to much more emblazoned structures that do not come anywhere near the quality of the Forges staff. Soundproofing of the rooms where I stayed very good, spacious, clean and modern rooms. There is only one flaw, but this is certainly not up to them, and it is common to every environment in the world, which is the ignorance of some guests who do not have the necessary education to understand that you should not shout / speak loudly walking in heels as if you were alone in wasteland, at night or early in the morning when you return or when you leave and this is even more disrespectful in facilities like this where the staff (and the facility itself) strive to make the stay of their guests as excellent as possible. But you know, human ignorance is a disease that will never be eradicated and it is a shame because in some cases it risks ruining the efforts and work of people who work to give an excellent service and then risk tarnishing the final judgment. I slept again in this splendid hotel and Veronica, a breakfast employee who had only seen me once a few weeks ago, when I asked for a coffee remembered that I used sweetener. Very nice and modern hotel. We only spent one night there but the quality of the room, the decoration, the service was really good. We were travelling with our family and a small dog and we really appreciated how pet friendly the hotel was. We found a small bed and two bowls prepared for our dog. A nice and welcoming gesture. Lovely breakfast too!

Undoubtedly a classy hotel, with modern structure and furnishings. the choice of wood as the prevailing note gives a sense of warmth and mitigates the usual coldness typical of large hotels. A brand new “business” hotel in the pretty much industrial area close to Udine. The are is still very nice, hotel just a few years old, personnel was very helpful, room was pretty large and modern, no smells of any kind, breakfast included and pretty bountiful for a 4 star business hotel.
