We were at their restaurant both nights we stayed in Mirissa. The rotti was delicious and sea food prepared on the grill looked tasty as well. You need to be ready for little bit of waiting as this is truly family run place and when it gets full things slow down a bit but watching the ladies preparing the food...

This was a lovely place with great food. The rooms were updated and spacious. The view from the balcony was okay. It was a little tricky finding this place at night as there are not many signs and the path is very dark at night. We would consider staying there again

We went for dinner to the restaurant and have been heavily disappointed. It turned out that they had almost nothing from the menu that we wanted to order. We ended up having standard roties that you basically get at every corner. We had to wait more than 45 minutes for the food. When our drinks had still not arrived at...

REVIEW FOR RESTAURANT ONLY These 5* I give for the amazing ladies that cook in the restaurant. They're seriously EXCELLENT, you have to try their rice & curry and rotis! Unfortunately, the service needs a huge improvements. What I see that could help is to make some system in orders, everything in one notebook is just chaos (you can see...

We've been there for food only, not accommodation. Their lady chef is cooking fabulous! Probably, the best curry in mirissa we had just there. The staff is soo friendly, we felt like they are our family. We used to come for breakfast and dinner daily. Moreover, they have good deals on food: 210-260 rupees for 3pcs of rotti, whole grilled...

I didn't sleep there. I was just there for the cooking class with Madu and it was worth every single rupie (2500rps/ 15 euro). We did 6 different curries and Madu explained it very well, in a really good English! I learnd a lot about the most important spices and feel comopetent to do my own curry now :)

I liked it so much I returned for a second stay at Amarasinghe - three nights on each occasion. The guest house is located the other side of the main road from the beach and set amidst lovely tropical trees which the local monkeys enjoyed swinging through most mornings. It is a peaceful place to stay and yet within close...

I wish we had more than 1 meal here. It was so good. Curry sampler was amazing. My son loved his Mac and Cheese, excellent. Daughter got egg spaghetti, reminiscent of Pad Thai. She had to fight her dad off her plate. Had beer to top it all off. They need to be on Tripadvisor as a restaurant, not just...
