Dear traveler, Please read this if you plan on staying or being served at - Central Beach Inn located in Mirissa on the beach side. What a waste of a brilliant location. This bar/hotel has the prime #1 spot on the beach but they don't sell alcohol. I saw people going next door to buy beers throughout the day & then coming back to drink them. The lost revenue must be enormous. In the evenings the bar was completely deserted apart from the staff, whilst...

We walked in off the beach to see if they had any rooms, had I read the reviews, from late 2015-2016, we may not have done. However I can't say I witnessed any of the racist behaviours, there were plenty of "dark" people and locals in the bar being served. The location is perfect and the room was 3500 with...

They refused to serve me because I am dark skinned. Apparently only 'Whites' are allowed. The place even had signage stating "Whites beyond this point". This is the most racist gesture I have come across while travelling. My partner is white, so it means she is welcome, and I am not?!? Wake up people!

Good food and friendly service. Great location. Cleanish toilets. Good music. The place is right on Mirrisa beach. I think they do accommodation too. Prices are reasonable compared to other establishments on this tourist stretch on the coast.

The most important thing is the owner treat the customers based on what color you are. So if you are up for this kind of service , go in and experience for yourself. The way this place treat their customers is unacceptable.

The staff is very bad with people and refused to serve local because they can't simply overcharge the locals. Had a very bad experience there. Really disappointed by the way they treat guests specially the locals.

I was born in Sri Lanka, currently live in Los Angeles and I'm a dual citizen. Went to this establishment with my brother who lives in New York and ordered a couple of drinks. Was told that they don't serve locals and asked us to leave. How much do you have to hate yourselves to not want to serve your...

Both stars go to the restaurant/bar part of Central Beach Resort. There is a good range of food and drinks. All moderately priced and tasty! Service is ok, if a little nonchalant. The missing three stars are the fault of the overpriced and poorly managed accommodation. For 7000 R/night, we had a smelly room, overrun with mosquitoes and a below...

Average cabanas. Nothing in the way of hospitality. Water would work sometimes and the temperature was very inconsistent- sometimes just cold, sometimes just hot! Great location and good security. Rooms get very hot. Aircon was 500rps extra a night. No bed covers to sleep under. Good size. Overpriced.
