Lovely island, lovely lodge and lovely manager, Urosh Josimov ("Uki"), who did our stay even more pleasant. We enjoyed the sunset from the highest rocks of the place and then danced after dinner. Thanks a lot, Uki!

The place is wonderful: 5 bungalows and 3 cabins on a private island 1 hour away from the main land. It seems like some years ago the place was a very good hotel, well organised and managed, but the owners sold it and the new propietors are a bit lost. When you go to a place like this you expect... Small peace of paradise from mother nature on the lake Victoria, and a perfect place to start your tour in eastern Africa. It's hard to find proper words to describe it, unless you come and see it with ur own eyes. Karibu

My daughter and I greatly enjoyed our 2 nights on Lukuba Island. We stayed in #3, a pretty cabin of stone and wood with lots of windows displaying trees, lake, and wildlife. Before we arrived I felt a bit worried due to reading the lesser reviews -- unfounded worry (some people just like to complain?). Edwin was a fine host... More

From start to finish it was wonderful, out hosts Serena and Roo were there to meet us on arrival and were very helpful from start to finish even getting us from the dining room to show us the Jenna cats behind the... Wow, after many days traveling by bus and sleeping in tents, this place was not only a welcome home for a couple of days, but a calm place to recharge. The scenery is beautiful, the rooms and hotel are great, and the staff is so wonderful. The food was so safe and delicious - we even ate the fresh fruit... More

Wow-what a gem, we recently visited family in Musoma and were fortunate enough to visit Lukuba...It truly is paradise, you feel like a celebrity with exclusive access. There were 14 of us in our party and we filled the the five cabins on our own beach. The scenery is breath-taking, the service amazing and managers Roux and Surina go above... More

I did not expect this scenery before arrival. Beautifully hidden and well utilized cabins right on the beach. Good food, good service and totally relaxing. We were there with small kids and friends and enjoyed Lukuba very much; would love to return! The only drawback is not being able to swim due to the danger of bilharzia.
