My husband and I have been here twice og will definitely be back next year. The food is great - Homemade, from local producers and a fantastic selection of cheeses. The beautiful surroundings are perfect for hiking, hunting and fishing. Impeccable service!

Hindseter Lodge & Restaurant dates from 1898 wth fabulous 360 views of Jotunheinen peaks and the Sjoa river valley. The property includes several sleeping huts a large, comfortable sitting room with lovely views and a large comfortable lobby with fireplace where after dinner coffee is served. The dinners feature outstanding, local food; generally 3 or 4 courses with an amuse bouch,...

We we got the "Norwegian Hospitality" in a special way because the hotel was highly crowded and the landlord was over challenged. She told us in an unfriendly way, for dinner we cannot get 2 seats in the restaurant, only in the reception area it is possible. There it was bloody cold, the open fire was started after our claims...

Dear Derinder! I remember you well, as we are in the lucky situation to almost never have guests who are so little satisfied with our service and food. To keep things simple: I must admit that we had a challenge to manage the table reservations with third part booking systems like booking.com - when we have so little contact prior...

In a month travelling around Northern Europe, this was our favourite stay. The beds weren't 5 star but were fine. The room wasn't the largest we'd had, but was ample. We just loved the way the staff want to help you enjoy this amazing part of the world. It took longer than google maps suggested to drive from Oslo airport,...

If you want a little higher class on your stay in this area, this is the place! We slept there for one night. The rooms are just ok. The bathroom was newly renovated (but you can hear the neighbour pretty good). But this is not a place for hanging in your room. Rooms are just for sleeping. The food is...

The hotel is beautiful situated in Jotunheimen and offers more "upper class" experience for hikers. The double rooms are small even for a family of 3, but clean and tidy. The food is excellent - both the dinner and breakfast offers local specialities served in a delicate manner. But don't bring small kids here. The hotel will help you with...

Thank you for taking you time to review your stay and thank you for your nice words. I agree that we do not have any special offers for children - still we have a lot of families coming back year after year enjoying the tranquillity outside and inside. We chose not to have music or TV running in our dining...

Room was clean and comfortably, but small. Quaint Guesthouse has a very nice lobby/lounge and dinning area. Location is a great spot for numerous hikes near the Jotunheimen Park. Dinner of reindeer meat was fabulous and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

We booked the all inclusive winter package which was a great decision. Fabulous cross country sking, snowshoeing. In addition the elk safari, ice canyoning and moonlight walk were fantastic. The food was amazing - four courses a night of the most delicious locally sourced food including Reindeer their local delicacy. The staff were so helpful and friendly with our safety...

We have travelled to Norway for winter holidays for a number of years and this is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. It is located in a beautiful valley with stunning countryside all around and the owners (Andre and Karola) do everything they can to help you to enjoy these surroundings to the maximum. The hotel...

We only stayed at Hindseter for one night on our way from the fjords to Oslo. The hotel is a little gem on the edge of the beautiful Jotunheimen National Park. The scenery is stunning.
