Not only was the venue looking a million dollars, but Kate & Noel O'Malley and their wee helper Maddy were wonderful hosts - all adding up to a fantastic wedding venue. As I said to Kate the following day "I'm SO HAPPY we chose to get married there". Kate made the selection of canapes & many of our guests commented...

A super B&B set in a lovely old country house with beautiful gardens set just outside the town. The owners, Kate and Noel, were outstanding hosts and we ate an exceptionally nice evening meal there as well as breakfast. Wonderful bedroom and large bathroom, although not en suite. A very special New Zealand experience, although not for those seeking a modern...

Kate is a lovely hostess and a wonderful cook, so do ask for dinner in! The rooms are large, well refurbished and very comfortable. The lodge's garden is large and lovely for that morning stroll after a sumptuous breakfast. Kate is very knowledgeable about the Catlins and local district which helped us redesign our route to encompass all of her...

It was the first B&B we stayed in and Lesmahagow was the best choice we could have made. Kate and Noel are probably the best hosts you could imagine and you can consider yourself lucky to get a room in this gorgeous home. Everything perfectly fits together: the amazing service, the beautiful rooms, the wonderful garden/house and the outstanding dinner...

Wow what an amazing b&b, from the huge immaculate rooms to ever so hospitable hosts, this is without a doubt the best b&b I've had the pleasure to stay at. For an additional cost you should definitely take up the offer of dinner which is restaurant quality home cooking.

We spent our first night in NZ at lesmahagow and thought all our dreams had come true. A beautiful house, a very warm welcome and hospitality from our hosts, 5 star food, spectacular surrounds and gardens, beds so comfortable we didn't want to get out of it, all meant a very lovely place to stay and we would totally recommend...

We only stayed one night, but were very warmly welcomed by hosts Liam and Kate to their beautiful heritage property, with lovely gardens in a quiet location a five minute drive from Balclutha. The room was almost stately, and the bathroom, though a bit far away, was perfectly clean and luxurious. Breakfast was scrumptious. We would have been happy to...

If I lived in New Zealand and did regular weekend breaks away from the stresses of city living, I would be reluctant to review this B&B as I would not want to draw attention to it. We stayed 2 nights from 29/10/10 and I have to say it has been the most peaceful, perfectly located, beautifully presented and comfortable stay...

We chose Lesmahagow as a stop off point between Invercargil and Dunedin and not as a destination. We nearly didn't book because we prefer an ensuite bathroom, but, each room did have a private bathroom down the hall. I'm so glad that we stayed at Kate and Noel's lovely B&B because it turned out to be a highlight of our...

We found Lesmahagow on our way around the South Island intending to spend a night and then carry on. We ended up spending two nights with a day exploring the Catlins. The house itself is gorgeous - an early 1900s building kept in incredible condition. The rooms are huge, with comfortable furniture (including long lounges for tall people to stretch...
