The Lamp Light Book Hotel is such a unique idea combining a hotel with a library. You can borrow the books they have to read in your room (unfortunately mostly Japanese though). The room was very modern and had a really relaxing vibe with a great bathroom. There was a little cafe downstairs next to reception too which serves great breakfast sliders (mini burgers) of all different kinds. Location wise it was not bad, about a 10 min walk from the station, but it is not in the middle of everything in Nagoya. Certain attractions are within walking distance though so it's not all too bad. We'd definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Nagoya and will book again if we ever come back.

The centre location of Lamp Lights Book lack the busy crowd around Nagoya Central station remains convenient within walking distance to the station and surrounded with restaurant choices. There is a garden right at the front door. The hotel is relatively new decorated with warm and welcoming deco. Guest room assigned to us overlooking the green garden with a small balcony. Bed and bathroom are both well equipped with the needed and super clean. Small room area just sufficient for a good night sleeping after all the daytime activities. Check in and check out were efficient. Will be a top choice when come back to Nagoya next time.

I stayed here for 3 nights in a 'moderate single' which has large double windows and a balcony overlooking over the park. This hotel is truly quirky and interesting with a book-themed lobby and a mini-library with reading spaces. The small coffee shop is open 24 hours. The room was clean and spotless and a good-size for a single, with a lovely modern shower-room. You have the option to not have house-keeping everyday although they change the towels and toothbrushes everyday, if you require house-keeping you need to put a sign on the door. The staff are very courteous and helpful and assisted me with locating the airport bus which is conveniently around the corner from the hotel. It is also located one stop on the subway from Nagoya station and one-stop from the Sakae entertainment area. I enjoyed the light show of Nagoya at night from the comfort of my bed - I will make this my go-to hotel when I visit Nagoya again.…

Thank you for staying at LAMP LIGHT BOOKS HOTEL Nagoya. I am very happy that you have praised a lot about this hotel. This hotel has a high percentage of foreign visitors and the staff is not fluent in the language, so you may have been bothered. We will continue to study. We are looking forward to your next visit. Book cafe & inns. My regular accommodation in Nagoya. Superior rooms recommended since they come with a balcony with the view of the green. Maybe too small for a family. Designed for the adults who like to spend quiet time. I like this place because there are no drunk and broken "salary-men". Feel pretty safe. Located in a coulple of minutes from Fushimi St. No bath tub. Only a shower facility. No room service. Cafe on the first floor is open 24H. See the website for the breakfast. Very western.

This place is so cute! A must stay for any book lover. Pros: - quiet, never heard any noise - small touches in the room are charming (closet rod, chair to read books, lightening) - close to Fushimi station - modern & clean bathroom Cons: - Like many other hotels in Japan the room was small. We only stayed for a night so not an issue.

Our stay at the hotel would have been great if it's not for poor housekeeping. We stayed in a twin room with a small balcony. It's good to get some fresh air. But the room is small with not much space for 2 big luggages. Overall the room is clean, but they seems to missed out on a few trash left by the previous guest. We found a half drank cup of coffee in the room, used toothbrush still at the sink and an empty mineral water bottle. Other than that, the hotel was great. It's located within walking distance from Fushimi station with a convenience store just opposite the hotel. There's a coin laundry service and Japanese books for casual reading at the 1st floor. They also have breakfast (you will need to make a booking and pay at the reception separately) was good and value for money in my opinion. Hope they can improve on their housekeeping, else it would be a shame since it was quite a nice hotel to stay in.…

Thank you for staying. We sincerely apologize for any deficiencies in cleaning. I will be careful about the person in charge, and I will work on it in the future so as not to do the same thing. I am very happy to hear words of praise except for cleaning. We are also looking forward to seeing you there when you come to your place. The LBH Nagoya is a charming, small boutique hotel well-placed in central Nagoya not far (about 1 km) from the main train station. The rooms are small but modern and spotlessly clean. We had a corner room (904) with double windows that gave us a great view of the skyline and a lovely, small park below where, on our visit, the cherry blossoms were in bloom. Hotel staff were friendly and spoke adequate English. Breakfast was basic (salmon or ham and egg on brown bread with a small green salad and coffee/tea) and was served in the tiny cafe area adjacent to the reception desk. An area that serves as a library is next to the reception and has desks and outlets for your laptop/phone. We were pleased with our stay at Lamplight Books Hotel. The breakfast was good but the servings very small and the choices limited.…

This was a pleasant, very clean place to stay. The room design was very modern, and efficient, if a little small, even for Japan. I chose a moderate single, which had a small balcony and a little extra room. The shower was very nice, with a rainfall-style shower head in addition to the handheld hose. Basically, it seemed like an upgraded business hotel with a unique theme. Breakfast was good quality, if not really to my taste. In addition to coffee, you could choose two sandwiches, or similar, from the cafe menu.
