I like the location since there is a nice park right in front of it, as well as restaurants and a convenience store, all within walking distance. As expected, our room was a bit small but not uncomfortably so. There was enough space for us to walk around and pack/unpack luggage without bumping into one another. The best part though was the breakfast. Awesome spread with a variety of Western and Japanese food. I liked the inclusion of Nagoya specialties and curry.
I stayed at this hotel for 8 days and my first visit to Japan. It was an awefull experience. Booked a non smoking room, however they gave me a smoking room saying that the rooms were out. The breakfast is expensive. Every evening I came back to hotel and the corridor always had a terrible smoke smell. The room smells badly, including the bed and linen.. there were stains on the walls and bed sheets. Burnt marks on the carpet.. wat not... It's was my worst nightmare in this hotel.
This is not a new and fancy hotel compared with more modern hotels in recent times but very spacious and comfortable. The service is very good, and breakfast buffet is also good in terms of quality and selection. Also a big plus is the gym. It is large as a hotel gym and there are free weights up to 20kg ! Overall, value for money, this is a good option in Nagoya in my opinion.
The hotel is well located beside a number of varied restaurants and close to the metro and a short taxi ride from the main jr station. I noticed that they have a lot of staff to help you especially around reception. Breakfast was the usual buffet affair with an egg station.the rooms are small as per Japanese style bue well furnished with adequate storage space.
It was nice 3 nights stay here at Nagoya Kanko! My first time in Nagoya spent very well. The hotel has very good location and there is a garden/park in front of hotel. I came and stayed 2-5 April, exactly during sakura blooming, which is very nice. Breakfast also very good and have some option. Staff are polite and very helpful. The only thing is that not many staff can speak english well when I'm stay. But, its not really a problem.
Rooms were quite small but clean and tidy. Great location facing a park, walking distance from restaurants, bars and stores. The breakfast restaurant was chaotic and crowded with harassed staff trying to do their best but had a good spread.
I only stayed here 2 days but it impressed me from start to finish. The hotel is situated a 15 minute walk from Nagoya station so you may want to take a taxi which should cost less than ¥900. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, i would say this is centrally located. I stayed in a comfort double with queen bed. I arrived around 2pm, earlier than the 3pm check in and was provided access to my room immediately. Check-in was quick and the staff were quick to help me with my bags. My room was on the front of the hotel with a decent view. The room was one of the larger nicer hotel rooms I have stayed in, in Japan on my numerous visits and was very much welcomed after 10 days travelling around Japan. The room has ample hanging space and luggage storage space as soon as you enter the room. The usual amenities are in the room along with courtesy slippers and a newspaper every morning. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the bathroom was by Japanese hotel standards quite spacious and includes Bulgari shower gel as well as cool little bags with personal grooming items. Breakfast was a classic buffet with East & West options including an omelette station and fruits, pastries etc. It was decent. When i return to Nagoya i will definately stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending the Nagoya Kanko Hotel.…
Staff really kind and helpful. Nice and comfortable room. Location near to Nagoya station and Sakae area. courtesy handy in every room is very convenient. I would recommend this hotel to my colleagues and I will return for next BT.
Travelled to Nagoya to attend Japanese F1 GP with two friends. We shared a room which was tight but comfortable. Short walk to train station, bars and restaurants. Hotel very nice, staff extremely friendly and helpful.
We spent two nights at the Nagoya Kanko hotel this week. Our room was decent sized but I believed we would have a room with a King bed and it was actually somewhere between a full and queen size. Not easy to sleep next to my "moves all night" husband in a small bed that was also hard as a rock! The room furnishings showed a lot of wear and the bathroom was rudimentary and tight but it was all very clean. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, not great but good. We had lunch there as well one day and it was OK. Fantastic, simple green salad, good soup and my husband has a pasta with crab meat and fish roe that he liked a lot. The staff there was perfectly lovely. Everyone was helpful and super nice. One complaint, returned mid-afternoon having been out since morning to find maid service just beginning on our room. They insisted that we come back in 45 minutes! They changed the bed though we had not asked them to - wish we had had that time in our room to get ready for the next activity instead of sitting in the lobby waiting.…
