UNIZO INN Nagoya Sakae Higashi Hotel is located in the central area of traveling bulding such TV tower, oasis, and close to subway, so very easy to go anywhere in the central of Nagoya. Hotel is lovely priced. Easy to find the convenience store. Clean and comfortable room but quite old. The room size was small but i think bigger than other hotel in Japan. The elevator was old and slow. I stayed for 2 nights on last week of February after came back from Kanazawa.

Unfortunately that I spent there only 2 nights. Hotel is located in Great location " Sakae " Easy access from Chubu Centrair Nogoya Int'l Airport no matter by train or bus. Subway Sakae Station exit 12, Don Quijote, Qasis 21 , Daiso, Sun Square, Airport limousine bus terminal, Nagoya TV Tower, all these places only 5 minutes walk. Lawson ( a convenience store ) is just on hotel ground floor and Starbucks is just opposite the hotel.. Very convenience, isn't it ? Room is nornal Japanese standard sized but have all necessary things you need during stay. Staff can speak English and one of them speak fluent in English.( Not to worry ) Recommend !!!!

We paid very little for this hotel and got exactly what we were paying for: a basic, budget hotel. There was nothing to write home about in terms of decor or comfort, but for the price point, I was satisfied. The room was clean, the staff was helpful and courteous and we slept without troubles in our 2-nights stay. Front desk staff spoke good English and took care of sending our luggage to our next hotel. Location was very good, close to the subway, restaurants and shops and to the Sakae commercial area. The room was poorly isolated so you could hear some noise from the street, but it was a problem for us. A very good option if your are traveling in a budget.

To be honest, this ranks pretty low on my list of hotels. The room was small and the furniture old and shabby. I recommend anyone visiting Nagoya to stay at the other UNIZO which is much better (see my review of same)

It's only 5 min to main Sakae station and hotel breakfast is simple but adequate. Problem is of the 5 choices, usually at best two were available by 9 am. The others were gone as breakfast starts serving from 7-10. Very convenient with Lawson convenience store next to hotel and a small fruit mart across the street and the Centrair airport bus right across 1 min from hotel. The staff was friendly but most of the time not easy to communicate with them as their eng was rather poor but with some gesturing and showing them pictures of where one wants to go, you can get by. The price is unbearable though . I imagine its newer counterpart, the Unizo Sakae is newer and cleaner and only 1 min from Sakae subway is a better choice at much about the same price, the pillow is the worst I have used in my life so for that be prepared.

We stayed 1 night and the experience is great. We were supposed to extend our stay in one of the hotels in Sakae, however due to unreserved rooms the fee is a little bit high. But this hotel saved our day. I think they maintain a competitive price in the area. What really has impressed me is the building itself. It is gray, boxed and sturdy. Maybe the facade looks like European, though, that's why, even it is small building, it stands out from the rest.

I stayed at Unizo for a total of four nights. While the single rooms are small and with no closet, there is a desk. The amenities were nicer than I expected - toothbrush / toothpaste, scrub towel, cotton pad, cotton swabs, razor, slippers, and shoe wipes. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hand soap are provided in large pump bottles; pajamas are also provided. The beds were comfortable for me. While the rooms were generally clean, there were a few minor lapses as well as the second room not having some of its amenities replenished between guests. Breakfast is in the Tully's on the first floor; there's a choice of a pancake, hot dog, or toast set; they come with a salad, yogurt, a few other items, and a drink, There is also a Family Mart convenience store on the first floor. Unizo Inn is in a very convenient location; shopping and restaurants are minutes away, as are subway stations and bus lines. Checkout was very quick.

Very easy to find from Nagoya Station - go to Sakae, and check hotel was literally right in front of the exit, about 10 seconds walk. Sakae is central Nagoya so the location was superb. Easy to get around, all of the bars, shopping, and restaurants were quick to get to. Venturing out to do some sightseeing was really quick because you can either walk there (Nagoya Castle, Oasis) or take the train (Osu Cannon). I really liked the room - it was very simple and small but just perfect for one person. Free Wi-fi and the staff were helpful and spoke great English. The bathroom was probably one of the cleanest I have seen...very compact, but everything was well kept. Considering the price, it was really affordable! I would definitely come back and stay here again. Highly recommend. I also like how they clean the room every day and leaning towards a more eco-friendly system. Thank you for a pleasant stay! Keep up the fantastic job.

Booked this hotel for 1 night stay only, similar to other basic commercial hotels in Japan, the room I had (twin) is small but it has everything that you need. Location is good, within walking distance to Sakae and subway station. Room is clean and staff are friendly. A big plus is that there's window which you could open, good for some ventilation. Nothing much to complain about but just that it lacks certain character, it's like a place that you probably wouldn't treasure going back but for the price I got I wouldn't have much to complain about. Overall speaking I would recommend this hotel :)
