This is my second stay in the Grand Hyatt, and it was just as enjoyable this time as it was last time. Both my stays was with my family, and all of the staff have been very helpful especially being I’m not a native Japanese speaker. The rooms are clean and everything works. The hotel is conveniently located and easy to access. With the Gundam Base in the mall downstairs, and Gundam Side F with the RX-93 about a 10-15 minute cab ride away. The breakfast at Market F is glorious every morning. The French toast being my favorite. There are also so many other restaurants to select from with out even leaving the building. My favorites being Wolfgang’s Steakhouse and Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant. The next great experience was my son and I had afternoon tea 🫖 at Bar Fizz. All of my reservations we made using the Grand Hyatt app which is easy and a time saver. Also, being located in Canal City there are always awesome stores to shop at.…
There are loads of hotels in the area, do not waste your money thinking your gonna get more for your money by booking a room at the Grand Hyatt. The rooms are similar in size to other budget hotels. And there isn’t anything complimentary other than water and coffee as other hotels offer as well. So why choose the Hyatt?? There is nothing they offer that you can’t get around the same area that is much more affordable.
We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka PRE-COVID-19 and had a spectacular experience. Our first time this year – what a privilege. Excellent does not begin to describe our stay at the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka Club Level. The staff, each and every one of them, were so kind and made us feel so special. The service staffs, and the chefs down to the housekeeping staff are all amazing! Little details to personalize our stay that get us feel of that personal touch which is lack of in these modern stressful days. The rooms were elegant, quiet, exuded understated luxury and even the basic room was shockingly large considering room sizes in other high-cost cities; all the hotel facilities (pool, spa, gym, the Market F restaurant, the bar Fizz) were uniformly excellent; and we love the location in the Canal City of Hakata with lots in the immediate area and the perfect location in the heart of Hakata and Tenjin. We loved experiencing Fukuoka in all its energy and bustle and then returning to this island of calm and elegance. We stayed here for 5 nights and we loved everything about it. The place is simply magnificent!! The views, the food, the service, and everything else in between were just wonderful. Staying at the club level was the cherry on top. Once you stay here, you won't be able to stay anywhere else in Fukuoka. Simply the best. We can't wait to go back.…
A confortable large suite to enjoj our 15 days in Japan. That’s rare in Japan. Excellent food and service. We had access to the swimming pool and fitness center. Very usefull to reach Hakata station and Canal City
Back from 10 night stay during peak Golden Week. We used the GHF as our base camp as we took advantage of the 7 day JR pass to explore Kyushu doing day trips and with Shinkansen even Kagoshima is a reasonable day trip. I strongly recommend the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka GHF for the following three reasons 1. location Grand Hyatt Fukuoka has a great location in canal city half way between Tenjin and Hakata station both walking distance. So great base camp for exploring not only Fukuoka but all of Kyushu. Upcoming faster Shinkansen to Nagasaki will make it even better. Being in canal city also means there is a huge choice of nearby restaurants just steps away from the hotel. 2. Staff. The hotel itself is showing its age e.g., scratched elevator buttons but the team has worked hard to maintain appearances including having large flat screen TVs in the room. The true star of the hotel is its five star staff. GM Matsumoto has built an all star team. Shout outs to takahama San who went over and beyond to help us with the dontaku festival. Big shout outs to the Grand Club Josephine, Kristal and Female club manager who speak great English, personable and remember many details and preferences and the lounge serves great champagne. Due to renovation of the grand club the main restaurant is used for breakfast and bar for evening canapés- both are excellent. 3. Elite recognition As the top tier hyatt elite member- offered an upgrade room during check In which was Ho hum. But Later moved to largest non suite room. The standard top tier benefits in this hotel is strong. Aforementioned excellent breakfast buffet at Market F. Very generous champagne at the lounge. And the cream on top is even after having stayed at Hyatts all over the world but GHF was first which offered daily fruits amenity and remembered and provided my daily soft drink preference- which blew me away. Not to mention a gift at checkout! Bravo GHF. Great GHF team makes the rather dated GHF hardware shine. Two thumbs up! Thank you for everything you made our ten nights stay memorable and enjoyable…
Overall a very good experience. Bed mattress very soft. Would have preferred a stiffer one. Wonderful staff. Service was very excellent from bell captain to desk reception. Location accessible to restaurants and cultural sites.
Hotel location is in an upscale mall and near downtown so very convenient. Queen bed room was very large. Shower/bath/toilet was 1 large open room with one wall being a large mirror. Shower had 2 modes regular and overhead rainfall which was a little tricky to turn off without going into the other mode. Bed was very comfortable with 2 sets of pillows of different thickness so you could choose. Came with in room Nespresso maker. We got the package where parking and breakfast were included. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed he French Toast, Italian cold cuts, and homemade yogurt the most. Parking was convenient.
Our stay at the Grand Hyatt on 26NOV21 was a beautiful experience as always. Ive been a member for quite a while now. I kind of just wish that the alcohol served here would be a bit stronger compared to other places. Other than that. Outstanding service and great food!
I don't think you can beat the location and the service was top notch. Many of the beds and pillows in Japanese hotels tend not to be comfortable but the ones here are wonderful (we slept very well). The only thing I wish was better were the gym times. I'm hoping it's because of Covid safety measures, but a gym that doesn't open until 9am is not a useful gym.
This is probably is closer to a 3 star but bumped it up. The building and facility is showing a bit of age but like most older hotels room is spacious and gets a lot of natural light. PreCovid place used to be packed with tourists. Although facility and location is average had bit of an issue during check in but service and resolution was kn point and got the extra point in my book.
