Detailed Reviews
Have visited Shinsaibashi area on a number of occasions but on this occasion stayed 3 nights at the mentioned hotel right in the area of Shinsaibashi. There is a direct airport bus route from Kansai International Airport to the hotel and is more convenient than to take the metro line. The hotel staff will also assist you to convey your luggage from the bus to the reception and vice versa.
The hotel itself is classified to be of 4 stars and thus provided you with the required services. The standard room is adequate for couple to stay comfortably and all room accessories are readily available for travellers. Hotel reception and room services staff are professional trained and customers are well received with no complaint. My daughter, who is on her first time visit in Japan, approaches the staff for assistance on her travel itineraries and is well guided with patience.
The areas of Namba, Nippombashi and Shinsaibashi are all within walking distance, and metro lines are right below the hotel for travel convenience. With regards to catering there should be no problem. Food mall/court and good restaurants are available for your choice. Have been in Japan on a numerous occasions and this is the first location I find to be most convenient.
Strongly recommended to all travellers who would like to spend time for shopping and delicious food.

incredible experience all around. so easy to get to with elevators directly from subway station. super friendly and helpful staff (even gave detailed directions on account signup to be able to send a package to the US and helped me print a label and the required package slip which was clutch). impeccably clean room. especially love the nice touch of having plugs and multiple light switches all reachable from the bed. i wish my home and all hotels were designed this way. location couldn't be more perfect. excellent value for what i was charged in early march 2023. wow tysm

We reserved a standard twin, checked into room 1501. Definitely avoid this room as it was very small with an odd configuration where you could not watch TV from the beds without turning your head to the far far left. It was located next to elevators and looked nothing like the website photo. Check-in was chaotic and impersonal due to large groups checking in and out. Bathroom was good. Best thing to say about this hotel is that the location is centrally located for food and shopping.

I'm trying to reserve a room for 2 adults and 2 children who are 7 and 8 years old but they require 2 rooms? I'm not understanding this? The hotel said anyone over 6 years is considered an adult. This makes no sense? It would be nice for all of us to stay in one room. Can someone explain. I dont want to book the room and we get separated and it will be too expensive to get 2 rooms for a family of 4. If the kids are staying with us in the same bed, what does it matter when they're still toddlers?

Dear Explorer285844, Thank you for your feedback. We apoligize our lack of information about childern policy wnen you called us. Under our hotel rule, we ask Guest over 6 years old (from elementary school students) to reserve one own bed. It takes one adult fee since we do not have toddler fee. We should have inform that we have a Family Deluxe Room which has 4 beds in a room. We are very sorry. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

Check-in was fast, and staff at the reception was extremely friendly. My room was very spacious and located on a high floor so I had a very nice street view. Everything in the room was meticulously designed, it had adequate lighting, and I thoroughly enjoyed a comfortable 2 nights at the hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located right opposite Parco and Daimaru, and only a few mins walk to Shinsaibashi shopping arcade. It is also close to Dotonburi, where there are lots of street food to try. The subway is directly connected to the hotel as well - it was not difficult to get here from Kansai Airport, and easy to travel to other places in Osaka.
This will definitely be my go-to hotel in Osaka!

We were there for two nights in mid May before leaving for other cities in Japan, and we stayed our last night there before leaving the country. The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff are courteous and professional. The location is excellent, with quick walking access to the nearby Dotombori eateries, and shopping of all kinds. The hotel is right over the Shinsaibashi subway station, which is just a few stops from the stations to Kyoto and other cities, and the Kansai International Airport. The hotel has two breakfast buffets, on different floors, and if you are lucky enough to have access to the Japanese buffet, choose that over the western style buffet. It's a quieter more upscale dining experience, with native Japanese business and leisure travelers eating there amid other tourists. Offerings vary, but included slices of fish, a crab wakame salad, red-miso soup, poached eggs in a shoyu mirin sauce, chef-cooked omelets, fish roe, ume (pickled plum), mochi, nishime, soft tofu with scallions and shoyu, soba noodles, chicken meatballs in broth, natto, tea, coffee, juices, and more. A special thank you to Eto San, (Mr. Eto), the concierge. When we had trouble checking in for our flight because of an airline glitch, he spent an hour speaking in Japanese and English with various customer service people trying to help us. Noticing that we were going to be late for the 11 a.m. checkout because of the airline situation, he extended checkout by an hour for us so we would not be assessed another day's stay. Then, he showed us to the train station to be sure we got on the right train to the airport. He went beyond the call of duty and we are very grateful.

Check in was good despite having to pull our in cases from adjacent street as coach driver not able to reach hotel.
This is the first hotel that we have visited where there have been sufficient lifts for the number of rooms.
Good breakfast service with best ‘western options’. A board indicator in lobby showed that those taking breakfast between 7-8 would be crowded, between 8-9 very busy and 9-10 very busy.
Staff very helpful.
Room very modern with wet room type shower and bathroom.
For a large city with hi tec toilets, cash register and computerised delivery robots in some restaurants the internet here was flaky and weak.

I have stayed in this hotel for four instances already, always loved the place, its located in Midosuji avenue, opposite Namba and it has always been a beautiful walk to traverse this avenue all the way after dotombori river, and walk back passing thru the covered shopping area. Its in the quiet side of Midosuji which makes the hotel very conducive for older travellers than me. My slight complain--the hotel should at least offer an opening to their windows, during winter, the rooms can get stuffy and hot, even with the humidifier, it can get hot and you tend to perspire, the rooms are not that big but they are ok, breakfast selection is good, but I also noticed on certain occasions, the language barrier can prove to be troublesome, you would think you are understood by the staff you are talking to but in reality, they do not, but be that as it may, it is still a very good hotel and I would stay here again,m april maybe

We are back again and its our 4th x with Nikko Osaka? Alot have to be said for this hotel.
1. Being a ONE harmony member, i notice the member price doesnt differ alot. The savings were just merely 1000Yen +-. Maybe because i am an entry tier member, the discount could be more for high tier members? Not sure either.
2. Breakfast is a disappointment, 4x there and the spread is the SAME as the last time we were there. Elderly chef was very accommodating to egg request but not the young chef on our 5th day. Cannot do fried egg and wanted us to take what was available there ie omelette. We stood there for mere 2-3mins asking for fried egg, he simply would not obliged. Overheard another customer complaint abt his attitude towards request.
The room rate is at the high side and if not for the location, i would have chosen elsewhere.

+1
Strategically located near the Shinsaibashi Shopping Centre, Hotel Nikko Osaka offers a haven for families with exquisite taste. The hotel boasts a variety of food choices in its western buffet, while those seeking a more tranquil breakfast experience may opt for the Japanese breakfast.
While the hotel itself may be quite old, its amenities and service are undeniably world-class. Additionally, a major advantage is the hotel's convenient connection to a train station, making travel hassle-free.
