We did not stay at this hotel but we did visit their signature restaurant and the bar. The first time we visited, our taxi driver dropped us off at the side street leading up to Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, which is the same complex where the hotel is located in, we would have much rather be dropped off right at the entrance, but similar to Aman, the entrance is rather hidden, and most drivers unfortunately doesn't know how to get there.

We arrived via the side door that's connected to the mall instead, the entire hotel has a darker aesthetic, with orange and gold accents, featuring pictures of their jewellery pieces and people in the fashion/entertainment industry, echoing the overall decor of their brand. The lighting in all the hallways is rather dim, high ceiling throughout with floor-to-ceiling automatic doors separating each area, and the signage that indicates where everything is, even though it's beautifully embossed on the wall as part of the overall aesthetics, unfortunately, they are a little difficult to spot, and most times we found ourselves a bit lost to get around.

The lobby is beautiful and has a quiet aura, also features a fireplace, a sweet station, and books about the brand. Il Ristorante was beautifully designed, with a good amount of space in between tables, providing comfort as well as privacy between each dining group. The staff were very put together, cleaned up, and spoke good English, the restaurant features classic Italian dishes, and the wine list is substantial. The food was good and up to standard, and so was the service.

The bar has a beautiful mural behind the bartending area, a good amount of seating indoors and outdoors, and the drinks were great. The outdoor area boasts an amazing view of the Tokyo skyline and has plenty of greenery and nice lighting to create a relaxing yet luxurious ambience.

We enjoyed our night there and I would definitely recommend a visit to this hotel.

Truly exceptional. This hotel is top notch. I'd argue one of the finest in Tokyo right now. Immaculate details and first class service. The only complaint I have is that I couldn't stay longer. I loved the breakfast service, bathrooms and the beautiful decor, which is a perfect blend of Japanese modern and Italian contemporary. Really well done!

This review is for the Bulgari Bar upstairs on floor 45.

This was probably the best service we received in Japan 🇯🇵.

The worldly menu refreshing and the views incredible. For a change in diet and for any pasta lover you'll get a great plate here.

Hats off to Ryo who was incredible. His observations and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. His ability and polish was noticed and commended. Would also like to commend Yoshi for top service on our second visit.

The hardware of the hotel is absolutely amazing. The design and the construction finishing is one of the best I've seen in the world. The spa and the hot tub, dry and wet steam room was great. The gym is also one of the best equipped hotel gyms I've ever been to.

I expected the F&B and service to be top notch. Room service Japanese breakfast was average. We had better Japanese breakfasts in other places. They have a beautiful bar on top of the building but the drink selection was average and my chocolate martini was terrible. The bar manager came and made the drink again and it was better but still average.

I would love to give the hotel 5 stars, but being one of the most expensive hotels in Tokyo they need to provide the whole package.

I would love to come back to the hotel because the hardware is great but not sure if their F&B and service would improve over time or not.

Wow! No words can explain how fantastic my experience was at Bulgari Tokyo. I also stayed at Peninsula and Four Seasons Maronouchi on the same trip and the Bulgari is in a class of its’ own. In fact, better than any other 5-star hotel in the world that I have stayed at in the last 20 years.

From the moment you arrive, you will meet the kindest people who truly make you feel warmly welcomed. From door person, to front desk to concierge, to gym trainer, to spa staff- each employee I encountered, each person anticipated what I might want and need and couldn’t do enough to make my stay easy and in a class above the rest.

The General Manager and restaurant managers both went out of their way to speak at length with me and make certain that any guidance I needed during my stay would be taken care of. I was brought thoughtful extra dishes in the bar and the breakfast restaurant because the managers knew I loved trying different foods.

The quality of the bar and restaurants are absolutely top notch. Complimentary bar snacks were delicious and on theme being Italian. The bar is the most beautiful I’ve nearly ever seen. Dishes, glasses, murals, artwork - and the view from the 360 viewing deck cannot be beat.

The quality of the decor in every single part of this hotel is of the highest quality. Not a scratch on any wall or baseboard to be seen. Not a spec of dust. Not a thing out of place. Almost museum perfection. The quality of the rooms, linens, the pillow menu, the in room mini bar were first class. There was not a thing that had not been thought of.

I was welcomed by gorgeous fruits, amaretti and chocolate candies that were delicious and beautiful. Toiletries were outstanding and the bathroom finish cutting edge. Fabulous new Toto loo, and shower was high tech with great water pressure. Much appreciated Dyson leather hair dryer! Pressed linen PJ’s await you in the closet.

I could go on longer - but if you want a homey and elegant place to stay, with exceptional location, views and caring folks who run the place, look no further.

The pool, jacuzzi and spa facilities are beautiful and world class. If I didn’t want to explore Tokyo I would have happily never left the hotel!

The location across from Tokyo station and proximity to Ginza cannot be beat.

The people who work at Bulgari Tokyo clearly love their jobs and this comes through in their level of service and the elegance of this hotel. I will most certainly be back and in a hurry!

I originally planned to stay at the Ritz Carlton Tokyo however on the suggestion of a local friend I gave the Bulgari Tokyo a shot for one night. I booked a Deluxe Skyline view room as a Marriott gold member. Note that while you can book through Marriott, the Bulgari brand does not participate in Marriott Bonvoy and as such I did not expect to receive any benefits at all during the stay. I was very pleasantly surprised to see in the app that I was upgraded before arrival to a Premium Imperial Garden view room.

On check in I was directly taken by staff from the entrance to my room with no break at a check in desk which is a great level of service I’ve come to anticipate from the top end of the 5 star market. I’d like to point out that the entrance may not be readily apparent and I had a taxi driver who was not sure how to approach the hotel. The hotel entrance on the ground floor occupies the southern and southeastern portions of the building. There is an outside pedestrian entrance, a pick up/drop off entrance, and an entrance from inside the mall through a small hall. The hotel has a premium location east right across the street from Tokyo Station.

The room itself was frankly immaculate. It was not technically a suite but by Tokyo standards you could have convinced me it was a suite as it was extremely spacious with a breathtaking view facing west towards Tokyo Station, the Imperial Gardens, and on clear days you could even see Mt. Fuji. I really liked that the bed and seats are set so that the view is front and center. When you have a room with a great view many hotels do not do a good job of emphasizing this but the Bulgari Tokyo achieves this.

In public areas there was always ample staff to provide service without a wait.

I feel obligated to address price as this hotel is regularly one of the highest priced of the western affiliated brands in Tokyo. This hotel is very new, has a great location, and I believe has a target clientele in mind. If you are that target clientele with a need or desire for a high level of quality, personalized service with luxurious rooms then this is the hotel you’re looking for. If you’re more value-oriented or an independent traveler without a need for personal service like I typically am then I would gently suggest looking elsewhere.

From the front desk on the 40th floor of Midtown, take another elevator to the 45th floor. The furnishings here are nice, and the view is the best. You can also dine on the terrace with a panoramic view of Tokyo. I've been there a few times, and the staff are from many countries, so English is the most common language. Of course, Japanese is fine, but in places like this, it might be a good idea to try to get by with English. At lunchtime, the Italian course was delicious, right up to the tiramisu, and I was very satisfied. If you go later in the day it's snack time, but the snacks, such as hamburgers, are also delicious.

In terms of price, it is a very expensive hotel, but it is worth it. It is conveniently located and good for traveling. If you visit here, I recommend having a drink at Bulgari Bar, especially on the terrace seat on a nice day. The view is really good, and the swimming pool here is said to be the best in Tokyo. Aman Resort's swimming pool is great, but this one was the best. The view is nice, and the Bulgari Hotel's unique tiles add visual satisfaction. I was satisfied with the breakfast because it was prepared so that even people on a diet could eat it. This is a place where you order and eat a set menu. If you don't mind the price, I definitely recommend a visit!
