When I’m in Tokyo for business, I normally stay at a nearby international chain hotel and walk pass Hotel Monteray all the time. This time, I decided to give Hotel Monteray a try as I was intrigued by its decor.
It is a pleasant surprise. Beside the excellent location, the room is spacious compare to similar hotels in Tokyo. And the shower is probably the best I have experienced in Tokyo, water is hot and strong.
Front desk is efficient and pleasant.
Price is excellent for the quality it offers. Highly recommended.

We stayed here 3 nights and found everything to be satisfactory. The location was convenient to public transport; the room was comfortable and the breakfast an appropriate mix of Japanese and western style. There are several nice restaurants nearby and a convenience store across the street.

Very cool french themed hotel. Good location only a few blocks away from the main shopping street. A small walk to a train station. Very strict on the 3pm check in. Our flight landed at 5am, and with an 18 month old baby we were exhausted but we couldn't get into the room earlier, had to pay extra to do so.

No service ! Catastrophic…
I arrive after a full night in plane and a bad headache at 8:45 morning.
I ask if I can check in earlier in my room: answer is not before 15:00.
They tell me that they charge extra 1500¥ for each extra hours… I say yes, so badly my head is aching.
6hours shall make equivalent of 60€ but they manager deemed that he wants to charge an extra night if I want to check in 6h earlier.
So I shall wait and sit in the lobby for another 3 hours to pay another extra 3 hours to go in…
I have not been in my room yet but the service is just bad.
Upon my arrival I wanted to have a coffee in the breakfast room, not possible to pay and have a coffee. You need to have a full breakfast.
This is not definitely my next trip hotel.

Very convenient location in the heart of Ginza, close to amenities and Tokyo station.
The room was very clean.
The hotel interior feels quite dated and could do with some renovation.
The Reception room is pretty underwhelming and does not create a great impression. The staff at the desk is professional, however no extra effort or politeness, which is a bit unusual for Japan's standards.
Our room was quite small and once we opened two suitcases, it felt very crowded with no space to move around.
The breakfast buffet offers a lot of different food, but no gluten-free options apart from salad and fruits. The hotel does not cater for customers with food intolerance, but this is the norm in other hotels as well here in Japan.

This hotel is located in a fairly quite part of Tokyo and is an easy 10 minute walk to Yurakucho station with a number of metro stations within easy reach too making for a great base to explore Tokyo on public transport. The hotel itself does seem a little dated and the rooms are quite small but they are clean and have all the facilities you will need. The hotel staff are very friendly with a number of the reception staff extremely helpful.

Terrible hotel. They will not let you into your room before 3PM even if you are half dead from your intercontinental flight and they do have the room available, unless you pay a ridiculous amount. there is nowhere to sit down to wait until your miracle 3PM to come, the lobby is a disaster and so run down and depressing that you never see in Japan, let alone in flashy Ginza. Internet in the room is a catastrophe. Fortunately the room is better than the lobby, although very small (do not believe the pictures)

Room was clean , breakfast , lots of variety. Only regret was why I used other hotels around this area in the past. Receptionists were really helpful, enough knowledge of local area, like restaurants so on.

The hotel is located at a great place. Very close to major attractions, and subway station is under the building next to the hotel. The staff is very helpful and kind. The room is good size, very clean, and also with a desk and chair.

Nice motel in great location close to the metro and walking distance to Tokyo Station. Room clean and bed reasonably comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Didn't get to visit bar and restaurant was fully booked when we were looking for somewhere to eat. There were heaps of other eating options nearby.

Never needed one but I would imagine they would provide one but where you would put in the very small room Probably use laundry service
I thinks there was a small rack, but our room is big enough to put 2 medium size luggage on the floor without having a trouble to move around the room. I think it still spacious.
