My wife and I had booked a ten-week trip, covering 11 countries, for our 40th anniversary, and Japan was the seventh country visited in our trip. I had emailed every hotel in advance, asking for suggested tours and places of interest that could be booked through them, and Shiba Park was one of the top two in terms of the information they sent to me. In addition, they were the only hotel that actually showed any recognition of the occasion, with a welcome card, letter and small gifts on our bed when we entered the room. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is split into two buildings and we were in the annex at the rear, which had its own bar and sitting area. The shower in the room was excellent and the breakfast, served in the main building adjacent to Reception, was excellent. The hotel location was very good and close to Hamamatsucho train station, which includes the JR East Line and Tokyo Monorail, plus the adjacent Daimon subway station. Tokyo monorail can take you directly to and from Haneda Airport. In addition, Shiba Park is handy for several restaurants, bars and convenience stores. It is also a relatively short walking distance to Zojoji Temple and Tokyo Tower, where you can catch the Hop On / Hop Off bus. Staff at the hotel were lovely and always willing to help in any way, especially Ashok who helped us in many ways. Our onward flight, to New Zealand, was from Narita Airport, and we booked a Limo Bus which picked us up outside the hotel, as Narita is much further out than Haneda and taxis are very expensive. This is certainly worth doing, as the price was good and the bus was very comfortable, with wifi onboard.…
We visited the Shiba Park Hotel at the beginning of March for two nights as part or a tour group. This was our very first hotel in Japan and we were very impressed. We arrived in the rain and were met at the front door, our suitcase was wiped down and check in was very quick. We were allowed into our room which we were not expecting as we'd been advised in Japan they are quite strict on check in times. We had a room in the annex, we and our suitcase were whisked straight across the room and we were in our room about 5 minutes after arriving at the property. I am surprised at people saying rooms in the annex are small. They are not (certainly the one we were in was not). Okay, one side of the bed is against the wall, but there is room for table and chairs, a vanity table, tv, and tea making facilities in the main room. There is also a wardrobe and a small area being the door you can sore your suitcase. The window looked on to another building but this is Tokyo, space is at a premium! We were too busy out and about enjoying ourselves rather than spending time in the hotel! The bathroom was fine, shower over bath and toilet. We enjoyed checking out all the little amenity packs available! We had breakfast included, what an experience! There is a mix of Western and Japanese items, if you don't want to try Japanese (you should - you're in Japan!) there are plenty of fruit juices, cereal, bakery items and cooked items. Every single member of staff we encountered at Shiba Park was friendly, polite and very helpful. Thank you to you all for looking after us.…
Great location, close to Hamamatsu cho station (JR), monorail station and Shinkansen station. 10min walk to Tokyo tower. We arrived early in the morning so caught a taxi to the hotel which was reasonably priced. The hotel has two main buildings. We were in the older one, Annex, but it was totally fine! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms plenty of space which is extremely hard to find in Tokyo. Would definitely stay here again! Service was excellent, helpful.
We have just returned from Japan having had a lovely stay at the Shiba Park Hotel. We were made welcome from the start and enjoyed every minute there. The hotel is well positioned and is close to local attractions and two metro stations. The staff were welcoming and attentive and strove to make our stay there pleasant. We would certainly stay there again.
We stayed at this well located Tokyo hotel for 3 nights. The room was small but clean. The bathroom was clean and there were a lot of complimentary amenities. The buffet breakfast offered western style as well as Japanese dishes. The miniature cinnamon danish and coffee were both excellent. We appreciated the location near the subway and train, grocery shops and quick service chain restaurants.
