Shiba Park Hotel has renovated the first floor on November 16(Mon.), 2020. The long-established hotel, founded in 1948 Shiba Park Hotel was established in 1948, and has taken pride in and responsibility for the traditions and culture of this lush region with a historic turf. Since its establishment, our hotel has always valued Omotenashi mind to become a hotel that continues to be loved by each and every one of our guests. With this renewal, the hotel has taken the opportunity to become a library hotel with a book collection centered on the city’s culture, people, and history. History and culture are spun through the ages, leading to a better and richer tomorrow. This is the kind of hotel we are aiming for. The design concepts of this renewal are “Water”, “Lighting”, and “Green” In front of the entrance hall, based on the concept of “Water” that brings tranquility, you can hear the gentle sound of a fountain. To the left is the library lounge based on the concept of a fireplace’s “lighting”. On your right is a restaurant based on the concept of relaxing “Green”, with natural light from the atrium and the inside and outside greenery, allowing you to enjoy a high-quality relaxing time.

Great staff, very friendly but the hotel was very poor value for money/over-priced. It was very dirty and there was an awful smell throughout the building. I was at the back building not sure if the main is any better but here are pics. Sorry guys.

Response from Global806875, Manager at Shiba Park Hotel
Responded 7 Nov 2019
Dear guest, Thank you for giving us a feedback and picture, too. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We are one of the most classic hotels in Tokyo and this might have given you an impression that the Annex was old and dated. If the guests need newer and larger rooms, we are also able to offer them a room in the 151 building which is renovated recently. We always welcome and value comments and thank you again for giving us points we can improve. Thank you. Sincerely, Front Desk Manager

We had a standard twin room in the annexe. It was the first hotel on our Japan trip and not the smallest room we had. The beds were quite hard but that seems to be common in Japanese hotels. The breakfast room is too small for the size of the hotel. We waited 15 minutes outside in a queue on the first morning as we had not seen the sign warning about how busy it can be. There were quite a few tour groups using the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I was not a fan of the location.

You can take an Airport Limousine bus directly from Narita to the Shiba Park (with about 4 stops at other hotels first for a total of about 1 1/2 hours). Alternately, if you are flying into Haneda, the Airport Express train comes into Hamamatschu station, which is about a 10-minute walk to the hotel, and the Daimon subway station is a 5-minute walk. Close enough to walk to Tokyo Tower, and the Zojoji Temple is very close too! The most efficient and friendly staff I have ever encountered! There are electronic entry doors, but they still have a door person to activate them fro you! There is a Chinese restaurant and 'Fifteens' rugby-themed bar in the Annex building, and the breakfast room is located in the new '151' building. The breakfast restaurant becomes 'The Olde Grill'

I have been coming to this hotel for some years, and have returned because it has all the basic comforts, is quiet but close to a number of subway stations for easy access to everywhere in Tokyo, and is reasonably priced. This time I was a bit disappointed. The rooms are starting to look dated, and the facilities have not kept up with changing times (eg room temperature was hard to control). However, our room was comfortable and clean, and we had good access to WiFi. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. However, they did not have a well thought through and proactive emergency plan, and seemed overwhelmed during the typhoon. They were unable to cope with questions that we had, nor cater for a hotel where a large number of guests were confined without access to convenience

Very pleasant stay in this unpretentious but respectable reasonably stylish hotel. All staff impeccable showing typical Japanese courtesy and friendliness. Rooms very clean and again typically snug by uk standards but perfectly acceptable. Breakfast decent, foyers and sitting areas comfortable with grand piano in annex. Very happy stay would return.

We stayed here in early October and very surprised to see that we had plenty of space in our room. We had been warned that many hotels in Japan the rooms were quite small. The staff were very helpful, particularly as our luggage had not arrived from Australia when we had landed. They were very accommodating supply us with adapters for electrical items. The bonus with this hotel is that is has a coin operated laundry which is a godsend for any Traveller. Well located with 7 Eleven store nearby as well as the metro line.

We enjoyed our stay here during the rugby World Cup. The hotel was busy with French, Scots and England supporters but apart from breakfast it did not show. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. We had a number of subway and train stations within easy walking distance. Lots of small restaurants close by as well Staff were very helpful and polite.

What can I say? This hotel was stunning! The staff were absolutely incredible and could not do enough to help. It helped that there was free WiFi and we had free breakfast. The breakfast catered to everyone. The location was excellent, it seemed central to everything and had Tokyo tower right behind it. The staff spoke very good English and the hotel was immaculate. I cannot fault one thing. Thank you for an excellent visit.

Having arrived late at night we were welcomed by the reception staff quickly and efficiently, which made our introduction to Japan so much easier. The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The breakfast lovely and never too busy even though there were notices warning of possible queues. As we had never been to Japan before, we were a little worried as to the location, but it was excellent and we were able to walk easily to stations to access areas of interest. I cannot praise the staff enough, especially at reception who helped us transfer our luggage onto Kyoto prior to our leaving. This made so much difference to our journey by train.

We stayed for five nights here, as part of a reconnaissance visit prior to a school tour. We were in Building 151. Service: super friendly and housekeeping is amazingly prompt. Front desk staff are always willing to help and assisted us with our luggage transfer from Tokyo to Osaka. The staff at XV Bar was so knowledgeable of their whisky range, we were impressed and had a great evening. Room: spacious for Japanese hotels and the air conditioning works well if you’re here during the early autumn season. The automatic toilet is separated from the bathroom which is always a bonus. The bed is firm, which is to our liking and extremely quiet. We didn’t try room service, as there were too many restaurants around the hotel to sample. The hotel is close to three stations, one of
