MONday Apart Premium Ueno Okachimachi stands out for its excellent value and cleanliness, with numerous travelers commending the spacious and well-equipped rooms that cater well to families. The hotel's prime location, close to various transport options, shops, and dining venues, consistently receives high marks, enriching guests' stays in Tokyo.
While the majority of reviewers highlight the helpful and responsive service, a handful of guests have noted unexpected additional charges and occasional staff issues. Nonetheless, the overall atmosphere and amenities, including in-room kitchens and laundry facilities, are frequently celebrated.

Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
Our last accomodation from our trip, we've just moved in from Intercontinental Tokyo Bay hotel.
And this is by far a much better location for experiencing urban Tokyo as it is nestle amongst four metro / train stations (Okachimachi, Suehirocho, Ueno-Okachimachi, Naka-Okachimachi) all in walking distant from the hotel.
Countless convenient stores around the area, even Lawson a stonethrow away, f&b are scattered around, Sunplay gym are literally opposite the main entrance.
Beware during high / peak season they didn't allowed for early check in however they allowed us with luggage holding until check in time.
Our room is located on 10th floor on #1005 with not much view, Tokyo concrete jungle it is. It's roomy enough for two adults and two children, complete with kitchen, dining table, bathtub, showers, laundry machine, in door heating and cooling.
All access are keyless and you'll be given a private keycode, all amenities (ie. toothbrush, hair brush & etc) are available through front desk.
Our main grieve is the pillow are way too small even for our small build and elevator lift are slow because there is only one in the building. Therefore you have to be patience during housekeeping time.
Another grieve is the common toilet in the ground floor are very dirty, they need to attend this urgently. We are aware this is an apartement not a hotel however there is no excuse for cleanliness.
All in all its all a satisfaction for our last leg of the trip, great hospitality from the front desk team (ie. helping us with booking Haneda large taxi).
Definitely recommended and surely will return, cheers...

We stayed at this hotel for almost 2 weeks. The Japanese family room is huge. We had 2 beds, a tatami room with a table and cushions, a small kitchen table, a fully stocked kitchen with a stove top, fridge and freezer, microwave, and toaster oven. There is a washer/dryer combo. We don't have combo units like that in the states, and I could never figure out how to make the clothes not come out with wrinkles.
The location is the best. You can walk to two JR stations in less than 10 minutes and a few subways as well. It is right next to the JR tracks between Okachimachi and Akihabara, but the noise from the tracks within the room is very slight.
The front desk staff were kind and helpful and were prepared to help English speakers; they relied on translation apps. No one was comfortable speaking English directly but it worked out just fine. Check in and check out were perfectly easy. We shipped our luggage from our last hotel to this hotel, and they already had our bags in our room waiting for us when we checked in.
They give you the cleaning schedule when you check in. The only slight annoyance for this whole wonderful stay was that the times they clean take up like 5 hours. They ask you not to be in the room for the whole afternoon pretty much, which is fine because we are busy all day exploring Tokyo, but one day we needed to pack our three weeks worth of souvenirs and had to request they not clean that day.
This is a great apart/hotel and we would 100% stay here again. This is the biggest hotel room I've ever seen in Japan.

We are a group of 3 travelers. This inn was cost-effective and I was very satisfied! I remember three major advantages. First of all, the extra luggage was taken care of in advance, so I was able to walk around comfortably. Second, the room was spacious! I was surprised to find that the room was quite spacious and even had a bathtub. Third, the in-room facilities were well established. This was the first inn with an air purifier, a washing machine and an oven. I was very satisfied with everything. If I come to Ueno next time, I would like to visit again. I would recommend it as a cost-effective inn.

Great location. Good room size for family of 4 (2 elementary students). Very comfortable stay and friendly staff. Was fast in replying to my request before check in date. Tip: ask for a room further away from train station. They made the arrangement for us and we hardly hear any noise from our room. Overall a fantastic stay.

The beds were fluffy and the kids were happy. There were many convenience stores and restaurants near the hotel, so it was not inconvenient to go shopping. There were two adults and four children, but the standard number of towels and slippers in the room seems to be five. There seems to be no nightwear for children, so it seems better to bring them separately. The front desk staff was very polite and left a good impression. The room was comfortable and felt like home, so my family, which has many children, was able to use it without hesitation. I think it would be good to stay for multiple nights next time.

Spacious rooms with lots of sleeping options for a family. Ours had a double, a single, and a bunk-bed. The small, well-stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare a light breakfast for ourselves in the morning. That was important for us because few places are open in the morning nearby. At night, though, the neighborhood comes alive with tons of small shops and restaurants of every variety.

The room is big and clean. It's close to JR Okachimachi Station. It has a kitchen and a washing machine. Children can roll around on the floor. Highly recommended. You can also borrow a switch and take it back to the room to play with. The bed is also very comfortable😌, and it's very close to the toy store we want to go to. It's close. There are stations and many restaurants nearby. All in all, the seats are pretty good. The Wi-Fi in the room is also very fast. I can play with my mobile phone inside without getting stuck. It can also effectively pass the train through the railway. Sound isolation allows us to have a good sleep with peace of mind. However, I don’t like that the toilet and bathroom are separated. I hope that the toilet and bathroom can be connected together next time I design it.

We stayed in a family room, with a large bed, clearly big enough for 2, a 2nd single bed and a 2 bed bunk. The rooms were modern, clean, well kept and contain a small but good enough kitchen and laundry area. Internet worked extremely well and reliably. Access was via pin code.
Luggage stored prior to check in and after check out. We were able to leave luggage and return to get access just prior to the promised time.
We found it was staffed well, and they were friendly and spoke good English.
Due to close proximity to the train line, there is some noise at night for light sleepers, however it didn't bother us. A few minutes walk to Okachimachi station, and a short 10 minute walk to either Ueno to the north or Akihabara to the south.

Great neighborhood, very friendly staff, speak good English and the care is excellent. Free noodles and sake every evening in the sky bar with a beautiful view of the Tokyo Sky Tower. You can walk to Akihabara within 10 minutes and if you go to the right and under the railway, there is the JR station and the Hibiya metro line is a 1-minute walk away. Very spacious rooms where you can properly store your suitcases and a spacious shower

Thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, the washing machine is placed in every room in our hotel.
Take the south exit. Walk straight along the road between Doutor Coffee and FamilyMart along the railway line to get there.
Thank you for your inquiry.
There is an escalator at JR Okachimachi station.
It is not far from the station to the hotel.
If you use Ginza line, you need to go to Ueno-Hirokoji station and walk from there to Okachimachi.
