Very convenient location for Ueno park. 5 minutes walk from Ueno station (Don’t take the park exits as you’ll have to negotiate stairs) . Lots of restaurants , shops and cafes within a very short stroll.
Hotel overlooks the very south of the park so get a room on that side of the hotel for cherry blossom season. Lobby is small and check in is done via self service touchscreen. Amenities station for tea, coffee, slippers hair bands etc near the lifts. Cubby hole cafe in the lobby
Family room was a good size with overhead bunks, table and chairs by the kitchen area which had a fridge ,microwave and kettle. Bathroom was clean and the shower was hot and powerful enough. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner included. Separate (warm seat) toilet.
Beds were ok though a bit firm for me. Air conditioning was tricky and there were no instructions. Lifts were a little bit of a pain as cleaning staff hogged them in the morning. Don’t trip over the piles of used towels by the lift doors.
Cleaners seemed to race through each room without doing much. Our beds were never tidied during a 5 night stay. The only thing we noticed was towels being replaced. Check out was done again via self service touchscreen and feeding the room cards into a slot. It wasn’t working for us so initially we couldn’t complete the check out. No staff on the desk until 7am either.
Odd thing about the hotel is that it’s open to the elements at the rear. Don’t know how they’d cope in a storm.
This is a new hotel opened March 2024 so still finding their feet. Staff were pleasant enough. It feels new so I’m guessing that’s why rooms weren’t being cleaned as much as I expected.
Overall though it was very reasonably priced compared to similar options nearby. Go whilst it’s new and clean. Luxury it is not but a very good value option.

We stayed here for 7 nights on our recent trip to Tokyo. We had a family of 4 with children aged 6 and 8. Our room was spacious by Japanese standards and had a great bed set up with two double beds on the floor under two bunk beds. The room also had a dining table, tv and small kitchenette making it feel like a small apartment. Laundry facilities on the 2nd floor were easy to access and use. Onsen on the top floor was amazing especially after a long day of walking. The accommodation is in a great location too with many subway stations, convenient stores and shops in close proximity. Highly recommend this place!

We reviewed the past experience from others and finally picked this hotel for staying in Tokyo has 4N/5D. Staff in hotel are helpful. Room we selected was exactly what we wanted. The room was spacious and faced to the Garden. It was amazing.
The open kitchen equipped with all we wanted even though we did not cooked in the room. Furthermore, the hot bath located on 14/F is open air type. We can take a deep breathe of fresh air during bath. Facilities are very good and clean. Location is good and close to metro (about 5 min walk). However, restaurant is not attractive and we won't say there for breakfast. Generally speaking, this hotel is good to stay. Highly recommended.

I like this hotel a lot. The size of the room, the bed, the size of the window, design, staff friendliness, amenities & location is perfect for me. I took the room with bunk bed and my kids loved it. My son for the first time went to sleep by himself due to the bunk bed. The size of the room is more than enough for 4 check-in luggage. TV is big but lack smart apps such as youtube. 2nd floor has paid laundry room with free filtered water machine and ice making machine. Location is good with Keisei skyliner 5mins away, Ueno station (Ginza line) 7mins away. Ueno Hirokoji station (Ginza line) 6mins away. Ueno station (Hibiya line) 10mins away. Plenty of food and tax-free shop within walking distance. Ueno Park is right opposite the hotel.

Found this place while planning our family trip to Tokyo.
This is a brand new hotel that offers everything and more. I am happy to write this positive review for &Here Tokyo Ueno because of the excellent experience my family (wife + 4 year old daughter) had.
PROS:
-Everything is new, from the lobby to the elevators to the rooms to the amenities
-Western Style Deluxe Room was very spacious for Japanese standards. Comfortably fit 2 large suitcases, 2 carry-on suitcases, and a backpack.
-Reliable WIFI
-Awesome view of Ueno Park (request it when making reservation)
-Full kitchen with fridge, freezer, cooking utensils, stovetop, sink, etc.
-Excellent service. All the staff was friendly and helpful. We needed help figuring out if a nearby train station had elevators (since we had 2 large suitcases) and they found the answer for us.
-Excellent location. 5 minute walk from Keisei Ueno Station (this is the station using Keisei Skyliner). 8 minute walk from Ueno Station (this is the station using Narita Express). 2 other smaller stations within 5 minute walking distance (Ueno Hirokoji Station and Yushima Station). Anything you want or need is within walking distance – just use google maps.
The alleyway in the back called Nakamachi Dori is a little sketch at night since it has a lot of bars and hostess clubs. If you have children, I recommend not walking this street at night.
The main street in front Shinobazu Dori is safe and is the main street you should use when arriving.
And no point did my family and I ever feel unsafe. The city and surrounding area is very safe.
-The public bath at the top floor was an awesome perk. It is separated by sex and is a great place to relax in either of the indoor or open-air hot bath. The views of Ueno Park is amazing. FYI they have a rule that children under 6 are not allowed.
-The café in the lobby served excellent coffee and ice cream. They also have sandwiches from the morning time. You have to pay for this and it’s not included in the reservation.
CONS:
Only 2 things I can think of more so as recommendations for management.
The room did not have towel holders for the bigger towels. Would be helpful to have 2 of them to hang the towels.
Also, when calling to ask for directions, the lady who answered said to enter through Nakamachi Dori. This was a mistake and entrance should be through Shinobazu Dori. See my pictures to see views of the hotel from both streets.
