It is definitely worth staying in a hotel like this. When I arrived and saw the hallway that led to the "outdoor" room and how cold it was and I opened the door and saw that room so small that it looked like a cube, the truth is that I thought my heart would sink. feet, and the truth is that the hotel has surprised me VERY well with the passing of the days there, and sometimes first impressions are deceiving. The room is small, yes, but sufficient and more so in a city where the least time you are going to spend is in your hotel room. It is a clean room with a comfortable bed (perhaps the worst thing is the pillows) and they clean it whenever you want and you say so. There are magnets on the door that you must leave on the outside of the door in the morning to let you know if you want your room cleaned, if you want it not cleaned or if you also want your sheets changed; If you don't put any magnets they won't clean your room. The bathroom is also correct and has a large and spacious shower. Every day they clean your room they change your toothbrush and towels. There is also a hairdryer, ah! and hot air in the room. They also provide a robe for each person and have a safe and refrigerator that comes with a complimentary bottle of water for each guest. They store your luggage if you need it. There are two elevators so going up and down doesn't take long. On the second floor there are washing machines and dryers and the price is affordable, which is very useful if you are going to be in Japan for a long time. The breakfast, which is made in a kind of section next to the reception, as you enter the hotel is very good, it has a little bit of everything, with a fixed tray on which they serve you egg, soup, salad and meat/sausages/ chicken etc They serve you as soon as you arrive and then a kind of small buffet with some rice triangles with nori seaweed, porridge, consommé, juice, coffee, milk, infusions, sweet rolls, and a few other things, not very loaded, but enough. This little apartment is open all day and you can help yourself to tea, coffee or water throughout the day and you can eat or dine there using your own food at their tables until one hour of the night arrives, which I think I remember was 11. The waitresses were very retailers and I, for example, only liked the salad on the fixed tray with vegetables, they had it prepared separately for me every day and when I came down they would put it on me without having to say anything.
The neighborhood is a quiet neighborhood and the hotel is very close to the Ueno station, which is a very large station with very good connections.
Of course, the hotel is not a luxury hotel but it is very worth it and I would return without a doubt.

It was my second time in Japan but was the first Japanese hotel where I booked by room. It’s tall towering building with simple rooms priced reasonably for Tokyo standard.
If you are carrying a lot of luggage, then, there is not space at all. The room we had was well organized with all basic things but really crammed, basically barely any walking space, which is why my kids didn’t want to be there for more than 3 nights. Toilet and bathroom were also small but no complain.
As standard in Japan, toilet is very unique with multiple functionalities but unfortunately everything was in Japanese.
Hotel location was good and staffs were generally friendly and helpful.
There were some Nepalese staffs, who apparently did not acknowledge their fellow natives staying in their hotel. As such, it was judged that, instead of promoting multicultural and multilingual sphere, they were sadly hiding their own identities.

We stayed here for 2 nights, was ok but the rooms were very small and nowhere to keep luggage in the room without tripping over it. The lights on the walkways outside are left on all night, and light shines in the room at night, even with the blinds closed. Overall it is ok as a basic tourist hotel, but I would probably stay elsewhere next time.

Hotel was a bit distance from the train station. Took about 20mins to walk. It was a pleasant walk along shops and eateries. Check in was a breeze with an Indian guy who speaks fluent English and Japanese. We booked a room for two adults (2 sungle beds) as I was traveling with my adult son. It's a tad small but comfortable and manageable. The bathroom had special insulation walls such that the shower and flushing is well muffled. Free coffee and tea at the lobby.

There's a Lawson across the road to get snacks and drinks. A little further you have a family mart.

We didn't have to take public transport as everywhere was within walking distance... Ueno Park, Asakusa, Ameyoko... though far but the walk itself was a enjoyable as you pop into shops along the way.

The room needs to be cleaned twice during a four-day stay, and a sign is posted to inform of the need for cleaning. Trash towels and quilts are not replaced every day. Even if an environmentally friendly hotel has posted a notice, shouldn't it be necessary to replace them according to the needs of guests? I also went downstairs to communicate with the counter staff, who told them that they would notify the cleaning staff. I felt bad every day when I came back. On the third day, I informed the counter staff and informed them that they would help me change the quilt. The conclusion was still no. So this experience made me feel that the service at this hotel is not professional at all. Even an environmentally friendly hotel should have cleaning services. If there is no benefit from putting up a sign, then why do we need a sign? Hotel facilities are old

The hotel location is very strategic. Nearby to FamilyMart and Lawson. Just a walking distance to the Ueno Train Station which connecting to JR line and also subway service. Here also we can visit Hard Rock Cafe Ueno and Rock Shop and other Malls and stores resides in the train station. The hotel provides complimentary breakfast to the room guests which are variety and tastes good. The hotel also have massage and laundry service in house.

I stayed for one night.

The room is small and inconvenient if you have a suitcase.

There is a convenience store nearby and it is close to the station, so the location was convenient.

I did not see any Japanese staff at the hotel.

Most of the guests were foreigners.

It is my fault for not checking, but I left something at the hotel. I called to inquire, but they said it was not there.

I am sure I left something at the hotel, but...
If you forget something, they throw it away.
I was not able to pick it up.

Next time, I will try to stay at a hotel that only has Japanese staff.

Not a very good experience. Rizal (I think is His name). Is very rude from the moment My Family and I checked-in into their hotel. Charging My Daughter ¥1000 yen for an extra key. Was rude to Me a couple of times already. I just feel like He needs more training on how to respect people, patrons, customers. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽. I would never stay here again and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know how bad of an experience My Family and I had.

After doing some research I found this hotel that was close to the station. It was a cozy hotel with very helpful staffs. They ask you about your stay and if you need anything. Even during such peak season they manage everything smoothly and serve good breakfast.

Nearest JR station is Ueno, on a JR pass I believe you'll need to get the Narita Express to Tokyo then transfer to the Yanamoto line to get to Ueno Station. Getting the Skyliner to Kensei Ueno is easier but is not included in your JR pass.

Bed size of Standard double room is 140cm wide only, so under 5years old child can stay with Adults. If you wont to stay 18years old child same room, suggest you to book twin room + extra bed.
