Detailed Reviews
Rooms are very small. Not your typical room where you have space for your luggages as Japan is maximizing all the spaces in the room. Amenities and facility are good enough (breakfast is bread and coffee only). Rooms are cleaned on the 3rd day but they are changing the towels and take out the trash daily. Airport train is about 20 minutes by walking to and from the hotel so better take taxi (600 yen per way). Train station nearest to the hotel is for other city destination (Ueno, Shibuya, Shinjuku). Don Quijote Asakusa is very near to the hotel.

Hard pillows...beautiful room
I recently had a great vacation at an accommodation called "Hotel Tavinos Asakusa". Overall, my impression of this hotel is very good. First of all, the staff is very friendly and professional. They greeted us warmly upon arrival and provided excellent customer service. No matter what questions or requests we had, they were always happy to help.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very soft and I got a good rest every night. The rooms are fully equipped with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges and free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was also very clean and provided with necessary toiletries.
The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is located in the city center and close to many attractions and shopping centers. You can reach the nearby metro station within a few minutes' walk, making getting around very convenient. I especially like this convenient location as I can easily explore all corners of the city.
The breakfast provided by the hotel is very rich. They offer a variety of options including hot food, breads, fruits and drinks. I especially love their coffee, it's so delicious. The ambience of the restaurant is also great, providing a comfortable and peaceful dining environment.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at this city center hotel. I was impressed by the friendly service of the staff, the clean and comfortable room and the convenient location. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay in the city center with great service. I look forward to staying again in the future.

I have been to this hotel before, so I knew what ti expect.
The rooms are not big, but have a good layout. You can pack your suitcase under the bed, but if you have a lot of luggage, it might be not enough. The bathroom is comfortable. The beds were good. The room has airconditioning, so never too hot.
There is a lounge where you can sit and there are tables where you can eat your own things. You can use a microwave to heat you food. You can also get hot/cold water, tea and coffee. There is also a manga library.
The location is very convenient. Close to public transport, close to severall major tourist attraction, close to bars and restaurants and a Lawson is just 30 steps away. Two bigger supermarkets are a few steps more away if you want a bigger selection. 😁

The common lobby is spacious and has a lot of mangas for everyone to read. Even if you’re really nog into manga or anime, you’d enjoy the decorations on the wall and bed. It’s very easy to check-in plus there’s a lot of extra amenities.

I only spent one night here at the end of my 2 week fall trip around Japan. Despite being absolutely exhausted, I still found it impossible to sleep on the terrible beds at this place. The mattress is so hard it’s like a solid brick, the pillow is an extra small bean-bag like pillow so thin and lumpy you might as well not use it, and the sheets feel like they’re made of tissue paper. Floor space in the room is extremely limited, even by Japanese hotel standards. The anime art style of the hotel, arguably its only draw, isn’t really that eye catching outside of the lobby. For a traveler that needs decent rest and not just a gimmick, don’t pick this hotel.

Stayed at the asakusa branch several times
The rooms are small but clean and functional
The hotel provides a simple breakfast of breads/pastries and soups
Coffee and tea are free flow all day
It is within walking distance to the sensoji temple and the shopping district of asakusa
The only drawback is the distance to the tamarawachi subway/metro station …around 15 to 20 mins on foot …and if you have luggage, it is not that convenient

The hotel is pretty good. Placed in a good area with exciting historical sights nearby and pretty close to some metro stations so it’s easy to get around from the hotel. 7/11 is within walking distance. The common area is good if you are interested in meeting some fellow travelers or want to read some Japanese comics. The rooms are a bit small but with a comfortable bed and clean and modern bathroom.

I booked this double bedroom once Japan announced it was opened to foreign visitors back in 2022, and got a very good rate.
The hotel was surrounded by Everyday low price groceries store, Seiyu supermarket and Life supermarket as well. Nearby got fans favourite Don Quijote and tax free for purchases above 5,000 Yen. It was advertised 24 hours opening but I did not try it in middle of the night. Lots of izakaya, restaurants of various cuisines and a pharmacy that opened till late as well. There was a Lawson convenience store less than 10m from the hotel.
I arrived early at the hotel around 8+am and was directed to self storage luggage area. It was really easy to use as there were instructions to follow. Went off shopping and came back in later afternoon. Used the kiosk to self check in and was able to select floor and room location, and I was really pleased and delighted. You can collect PJ and slippers (paper thin type) as they are placed in front of reception.
The room was small but standard size in Tokyo. It had a foldable chair and table. Below the bed got storage space which you can fit two 28" luggage bags plus couple carry on luggage. Got an in room air ionisation system, TV, air con and
electric water kettle. Shower area was spacious and shower water strength was superb. Only downside was aircon faces you directly. You can't avoid it no matter how you adjust with the remote.
The room was only cleaned once every 3 nights of stay, but there was change of towels and removal of rubbish every day. They provided simple cake and bread, and instant soup every morning. It was cleared by around 9am in the lobby.
There were also free coffee, ice and water cooler in the lobby. If you fancy something else, there were vending machines opposite self storage luggage area. You can only access your floor with card key too.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay as Tsukuba Asakusa was only few minutes walk. Can't fault with the location as it was close to Sensoji Asakusa too!
