Detailed Reviews
Great apartment hotel in perfect location. Our first visit as a family of four from UK to Japan and we can’t wait to return.
We had a river view room with two single beds and bunk beds for kids (age 10 & 13). Room had plenty of space for us and we even cooked breakfast a few times.
Location is right next to Asakusa subway station and the bonus is the train from Haneda airport directly to Asakusa made it very simple, even with suitcases!
Room cleaning is every four days but towels were replaced every day and rubbish bins emptied daily too. Easy to request anything extra from reception. The kitchen had a hob, kettle, microwave, plenty of cutlery, cooking utensils and crockery. Not that you’ll want to eat in as there is so much good food locally! Also a decent size dining table and four chairs.
Lawsons is right next door if you need to pop out for snacks and drinks, plus Seven 11 is just over the road too! We found this really convenient and the kids loved the selection of snacks available.
Aircon was good in the heat of the summer.
Only disappointment here was the coffee provided. Luckily the tea was better.
Staff are super friendly and helpful which was much appreciated.
Thank you Mimaru!

I specifically looked at the Mimaru hotel chain to find a room large enough for my family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children). Ended up picking Asakusa Station as it was only 1 minute from a subway station, relatively convenient to reach via Keisei Skyliner from NRT and also had a Family Mart right outside the hotel! With kids, it's very nice having a Family Mart so close by. Stayed for 4 nights, and was very pleased with the accommodations. Check-in wasn't until 3pm, but we were able to leave our luggage in the hotel lobby and walked around the busy Asakusa area until the room was ready. We had booked the Family Apartment, and my kids loved the bunk bed. The table and seating area was very convenient, as was the full kitchen. Everything was very clean and modern and there were many free amenities available in the lobby such as room slippers or toothbrushes. Hotel also has items available to rent for free, such as an extension cord which we found quite useful. There's a laundry room on the 2nd floor: I believe it was 300 yen for wash and 100 yen for 30 min of drying. Umbrellas were also available to use for free. Staff was helpful, friendly and spoke excellent English. In general, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a larger room, convenient location, and close proximity to transportation. Tip: the closest station is Ginza line (Asakusa Station), and exit 4 will pop you up right next to the Burger King and a 1 minute walk to the hotel. Exit 1 is the only one with an elevator but you'll have to cross a couple streets to get to the hotel although it won't take much longer. If you have a lot of heavy luggage, take Exit 1 (for the elevator); if not, take the stairs and Exit 4.

Mimaru Tokyo Asakusa Station Hotel in Asakusa is hands down the best place to stay in Tokyo! From the moment we arrived—at 1:30 AM no less, after flight delays—the staff greeted us with warmth and helpfulness that made us feel right at home. The rooms are incredibly spacious, spotless, and so comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The real game-changer for us was the fully equipped kitchen, which was essential due to our family's food allergies. It was a lifesaver! We couldn’t have asked for a better location or experience, and we’re already planning to return. If you’re visiting Tokyo, look no further!

We stayed in Asakusa for four nights. There is a convenience store downstairs of the hotel, which is very convenient for buying daily necessities or drinks. Not far away from the turn is the famous tourist attraction Kaminarimon Gate and some shopping streets. There is also a store that opens late. Drug store. There are 2-3 subway station entrances just outside the hotel, which is really only a 1-2 minute walk away. The service staff are friendly and can communicate in English very easily! There are also enough washing machines and dryers on the first floor of the hotel, which can be used 24 hours a day. The room is larger than the average hotel space, which is very suitable for activities of preschool children! All in all, it is a place to stay that makes people want to visit again.

First of all, I have to highlight the very nice and helpful staff, especially Rina. She is so friendly, open and warm, you just feel at home.
The hotel itself is very centrally located. You come out and you are practically in the city center of Asakusa. There is a small supermarket right next to it and the train station is a 2-minute walk away. With the Ginza Line you can go straight to Shibuya to the famous crossing, for example. Skytree is about a 20-minute walk away.
The apartment with a double bed and a bunk bed, where even people who are 1.80cm tall can easily sleep, is very spacious, everything is clean, cleaned daily if you want it to be, the bathroom is very good and the toilet is modern. There is a seating area with 4 places and a table where you can sit comfortably together. Fridge, microwave, everything is available.
I am very happy with Mimaru and can highly recommend it.
A special thank you goes to Rina again and hopefully see you soon ;-)
Kind regards
Andre

It's close to the station, beautiful, and has a great view of the Skytree from the rooftop terrace.
You can avoid the crowds at Sensoji Temple and visit the temple while listening to the morning sutra chanting.
The room is spacious and well-equipped. Best of all, all the staff are very kind. There is a convenience store next door. There was no noise and we were able to rest quietly at night. There was enough tableware for everyone, and there was a large table in the living room where we could have fun chatting. The room was designed to accommodate 8 people, with two bedrooms, and the bath was spacious and relaxing.

There are all cooking tools and tableware in the room; the space is large enough to fit three 29-inch suitcases flat.
The toilet and bathroom are divided into two rooms, which is very convenient! There is also a bathtub in the bathroom, which is great! !
The hotel staff are also very friendly!
The location is excellent, there is a FamilyMart convenience store downstairs, opposite Matsuya, only a 3-minute walk from Kaminarimon Gate, and the Ginza Line is available 30 seconds after leaving the hotel!
Taking into account the above advantages, the price is not too expensive.
The disadvantage is that the bed board is very slippery, and if your sleeping posture is not very good, the bed may shift halfway through sleeping🤣🤣
It's a pity that the weather was not very good during the few days we stayed, so we didn't go to the rooftop to see the scenery.

From the moment we arrived until our departure we could not have asked for a better experience. The welcoming at the front desk was genuine, our room was clean with great facilities and the desk staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay was enjoyable, often going beyond expectation. Could not rate this hotel highly enough for a family visit. Plus, very central for eating and family necessities.

We stayed here as a family of five with three teens and had a great stay. It's in an excellent spot right next door to Asakusa Station and only a five-minute walk to Asakusa's amazing shopping streets. Close to the river and of course konbinis are everywhere, including a Family Mart on the ground floor of the hotel building. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfy, and there were fresh towels every day. In the family apartment we had four singles and a bunk bed and unlike other family apartments we stayed in, there were two (semi-separate) bedrooms. The staff were really accommodating, and it was no problem to leave our luggage there for the day when we had a late flight. It's an excellent neighbourhood - a little touristy but not as intense as places like Shinjuku and Shibuya.

We (2 adults, three kids ages 14, 12, 10) stayed in the two-room suite for a week. It was absolutely perfect! The room was very comfortable, spotless, and well stocked with kitchen items. Everyone had their own bed, and the common area with couch and table was a great place to recover from the day and make plans for the next day. We would stay here again for sure.
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We do not speak Japanese, so having an English speaking front desk was very helpful before and during our stay. We had several questions before our arrival, all of which were answered very thoroughly and promptly.
Location was exactly what we were looking for. Sumida river park offers a great & uncrowded walking area with an excellent playground. From the hotel we explored all of Asukusa on foot, including a nice walk to the sky tree. An early morning (6am due to jet lag!) visit to a nearly empty Senso-ji was a real treat. Local metro stations are small enough that they felt easy to manage our first few days as we figured out the city. With access to the Ginza & Asakusa lines we had no trouble getting all over town. Although some trips were long and required a few transfers (e.g. DisneySea)it was well worth the trade off to us to have a comfortable home base for the week.
