Clean, inexpensive hotel within walking distance to a variety of shops and restaurants. Room is cleaned by 3 pm each day (new sheets, towels, ammendities). Station is close to akihabara, skytree, tokyo tower.
I have visited Tokyo many times over the years but have seldom considered staying in Asakusa. Staying at the Red Planet opened my eyes, because it is so conveniently situatied for moving around Tokyo. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the Asakusa Tsukuba Express line, which takes you to the north to the Yamanote circle line; or walk 8-10 minutes to the famous Sensoji Temple and pick up the Ginza subway line at Asakusa station headed to Shibuya. And even if you won't be travelling all around Tokyo, Asakusa itself is a very interesting and historic place. Now for the Red Planet itself, the staff (English-speaking) is very helpful, and the rooms are quite spacious in comparison to a similarly priced Japanese business hotel. Pajamas and slippers are provided; the rooms have small but convenient refrigerators; the WiF signal is strong. A very pleasant stay.…
I recommend Red Planet Asakusa Tokyo Taito as an enjoyable place to stay in Asakusa. It provides best view of the Skytree, located strategically, easy to access, costs reasonable, friendly services. Cool...
It was a great stay for me. I was here for 2 weeks and the room was really clean. My suggestion is to have an option of trash pick up for long stay guests, instead of full room clean up or none at all.
I was exhausted from moving before I arrived at this hotel and the first thing I noticed was that it was not a temple! The picture in the Google page is a bit deceptive. Aside from that, the staff was excellent, they were able to speak English pretty well and the check in was smooth and easy. I wanted to add an additional night stay after I'd been there the first two days and the process was simple. I'm sure if it is post-corona it won't be so simple though! The hotel was awesome, the water pressure was phenomenal and the price was cheap! 10/10 would recommend.
Good relation bitween price and achievement, central situation in Asakusa, next to a subway cross and the very important temple in Tokyo, not big rooms but there are well functionally, This peaceful¨east-side neighbourhood can give you a feel for the old City culture.
good location and clean room during my stay. i can also see sky tree through the window, that is very fantastic night view. around 5 mins to MRT and 10 mins to 淺草寺. even midnight there are some restaurant near...
Great location, close to train and bus station, restaurants, bars, shopping and Sensoji Temple. Friendly and helpful staff and the property was very clean at all time 😊 Thank you for a great stay!! Will definitely come back again
Very good hotel for sightseeing. Clean, modern, comfortable. Breakfast can be purchased at any time, but it doesn't offer a huge selection. There are many cafes and shops nearby. Some rooms have the Sky tree view.
