I just returned from a 4 nights' stay at the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu and it was simply amazing! The location was impeccable, with Minatomirai Station located below with easy access to Yokohama Station. Queen's Square, a shopping mall, is also conveniently located below with shops and eateries. Plus within walking distance is the Nissin Ramen Cup Museum and the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouses. And a gorgeous view of the Port of Yokohama and the iconic Cosmo Clock 21!

The staff were so welcoming when checking in, checking out. Especially would like to compliment the lovely lady at the information counter at the lobby, sorry I didn't catch her name! I wanted to book the return journey to Haneda airport on the Keihin Kyuko Bus which we were to do via the bus website. Not having a clue how to go about it, I asked for assistance and the website booking stumped us both. However she went the extra mile to call up the limousine bus company instead and made a booking for me. Thank you so much!

You really couldn't ask for a better hotel than the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu! Great location, incredible views, transport convenience right at the doorstep, helpful and smiling staff :D

Tip: For those who would like to make a day trip to central Tokyo, Minatomirai Station has direct train lines to Shinjuku Station, Meiji-jingumae Station (Harajuku), Ikebukuro Station via the Fukutoshin line. Take the Express or Commuter Limited Express trains as they're faster and cost the same as the local trains, about 30 - 40mins.

Very clean and modern hotel. Connected to the train station so it makes it a very convenient location to stay at. Rooms are spacious and would definitely stay here again if we had the chance to go again. The buffet was a bit unimpressive. The big disappointing thing was the pool area. The pool is indoor. I’m not sure how/why the hotel would charge people to use the pool in the summertime? Who would bother paying for that? At least it was free to use 11/2023. But the pool area is not impressive at all. Check in was simple and quick. Elevators are fast.

Spacious and clean room. It is very well connected to shopping mall and mrt. It also has a decent breakfast buffet. We are lucky to be in a room with the view of the ferris wheel. Thus, I will highly recommend family with kids to consider this hotel. We come directly from Narita airport via limousine bus so it also act as a perfect pitstop before traveling out.

A great room to relax and take it easy. It was a large room, so It was easy to relax. In addition, close to shopping and eating. I love the balcony with chairs and table. We will definitely go back someday.

This hotel is located right between the Royal Nikko and the Inter-Continental in Yokohama's beautiful Minato Mirai 21 area (see ).

Granted the view is better at the Royal Nikko and the rooms are larger at the Inter-Conti but the rooms at the Pan Pacific have a balcony! I found it really nice to just step out and enjoy a cup of coffee outside. I also found the furniture quite nice and modern, better than your average hotel room.

The hotel is connected to a large and very nice shopping mall called Queen's Square (see ).

I would say this is an excellent choice.

We had to stay here because we were attending a wedding nearby and the couple booked us here. The hotel and the rooms themselves were nothing to write home about. They are dated and economically furnished. But it's a business hotel, so much should not be expected. Although for business travellers who need a business center, beware that they have closed down their business center. So, you'll need to get your business needs met elsewhere.

Our biggest complaint here was the service. The "concierge" (also doubled as the bell hop) was extremely unhelpful everytime we needed them for anything. It was like pulling teeth trying to get them to help us. Not only that, their attitudes were bordering on rude. When my husband asked for directions to a store in the mall, the concierge threw the guide book on the counter before giving us the directions. It's as if his time was too valuable to be spent talking to us.

The wedding couple had arranged for us to be driven to the wedding venue because they knew we did not speak Japanese. We were just suppose to give the valet/ taxi captain our name so they can give directions to the taxi. Instead, when we approached the valet lady at the taxi line, she was surly and impatient when we politely asked her to put us in the cab to take us to the wedding. Finally, another gentleman helped us out and told the cab driver the name of the venue; yet, no one bothered giving him directions like they were asked to. So we ended up circling around town and were almost late for the wedding. The fare ended up being 2X what it would have costed us if the hotel had done its job and gave the driver directions.

Anyway, I HATED IT at the Yokohama Pan Pacific. I would not recommend a stay here.

Everybody agrees that the location is great. The rooms are nice and the housekeeping staff were very humble and helpful. My husband and I stayed for over 3 weeks and on the second day we were asked to move to another room. What was confusing was we didn't know why but we did it anyway. Anyways we had a situation that disappointed us....... We wanted to make a payment to settle our room bill after the second week, it was only then that we realized our credit card was not working with them, We still don't know why because we used our credit card to pay for everything outside the hotel. Well moving on, we immediately withdrew cash and settled our bill up to that day. The very next day, front desk called us and asked if we know when we are checking out, they wanted us to pay in advance for the rest of our stay and also pay a little pay extra in case we took room service. I was very angry as they made us feel like we wouldn't pay although they got a cash payment previously. We did pay it but I'm never going back there to be treated that way again!

Sorry, but it just completely ruined my stay. £25 to use it for a maximum of three hours? What a joke. For a hotel of this calibre charging that much, you would expect the usual amenities to be included.

In order to be fair, the location is very good if you are in Yokohama for Business with EPC Clients. Actually you are next to the major one. Form a price perspective very pricey and the expectations are high by default.
Checked in in the hotel at 21.30 and after a shower and checking of mails wanted to have some food. Called at 22.30 and in room dining was closed. Fair enough. Maybe is the culture I assumed. Checked for complimentary water and none was provided. A bottle of still water will cost you 420 JPY . the cherry on the cake which I din't complain at the time was next morning. Wake up at 10.00 and lost breakfast. wanted to make a coffee but no coffee was provided either. only two different type of tea. Consequently a double espresso 800 JPY.
Coming back to hotel after dinner the coffee trays are still on the table and the bed linens have some brown mark. Consequently a complain had to be made. Overall for 300 USD and 5 star hotel I would except something better and most importantly the espresso to be espresso not black coffee!

We stayed at the Pan Pacific in Yokohama Bay for 1 night. As we travelled by train to Yokohama from Nara, the location of the hotel within the station complex (which also houses a big variety of restaurants and shops) was very convenient.

We had a problem with rooms on arrival. We had booked a double room with one big bed but were shown to a twin room. Despite showing them our printed confirmation showing exactly what we booked, reception insisted that only twin rooms were available at our room rate. Totally annoyed, we pressed for an alternative and were eventually upgraded to a suite on the same floor ... with twin beds.

The suite was far bigger space compared to the first twin room they showed us to, with a separate living area, dressing room, large bathroom (2 sinks, enclosed toilet, separate shower and bath) and another toilet by the entrance. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were rock hard.

Internet connection was available in the room only with a LAN cable (which is of no use if you travel with a tablet rather than a laptop, as we do). We bought a slice of cake downstairs at the cafe outside the hotel (Cafe de Crie) and used the free wi-fi there instead.

The Western/Japanese breakfast buffet at the hotel was not bad, but not amazing for the price (approx 2900 yen per person).

When we travel, we always want to love where we stay but unfortunately, this time, we left underwhelmed by our experience at the Pan Pacific.
