Hamilton Black is a perfect place. Affordable but cleanliness was never compromised. Rates include buffet breakfast and free unlimited wine, beer and sake during happy hour (6pm~8pm). Less than 5min walk to Fushimi Station Subway(1 station from Nagoya station/JR Rail). Short walk going to Osu Shopping Area. Airport Limousine Bus from the airport to the Hamilton Black Hotel is across the street, and bus stop going back to the airport is less than 50meters on the left side of the hotel. This is very helpful when you have so many luggages, no need to take the train. Yoshinoya is in front of the hotel, 7-eleven, Family Mart and Lawson are all walking distance from the hotel. Most especialy, hotel staff were very hospitable and nice.
Hotel location is convenient. Bus stop for Centrair Limousine is just across the hotel. Subway’s fushimi station is also near (around 5mins walk). There are a lot of restaurants and stores around the area. The room was a little small (I guess common for most Japanese hotels) but it was clean. Amenities are okay. They provide free breakfast and happy hour (drinks and snacks).
Nice place and great service especially manager I can’t remember his name but he very kind to help me to follow up mail that I was bough and was delivered in wrong place finally I got my package. I won’t get it without his great service. So if you visit Nagoya here is the place that you must spend night at.
Overall are fine for me a hotel is located near subway and other main spots which you can walk easily, hospitality staffs, they are so friendly. Just 1 point is the room which quite small. There are a free flow drink provided too this is so nice
After reviewing some of the comments. I agreed that the room is small and does not even have a place for luggage, but it equipped well, has almost everything u need. There are many restaurants around but they close quite early. There is free Wi-Fi in the room which I found quite stable. Breakfast is simple Japanese style and it was tasty. Overall, if u stay for a night or two for stopover, this is a good place to stay. BTW, the service is good.
We were only here for a quick one night stay, and in retrospect we wished we chosen a place closer to the train station. It was a 30 minute walk each way from the train station through a grungy part of town. We got here late at night and wanted to leave early in the morning, so we didn't have much time here at all. We weren't impressed with this place. The rooms were small and we could hear our neighbours talking really loudly through the walls. Free wifi was only provided in the reception area and not in the rooms. Apparently they have free guest drinks, but we arrived too late for that. Breakfast started at 7am, which was later than we would have liked as we had planned to leave early.
The hotel is not too far from the train station. I like the sleek color scheme which is black. Even the room is small but that’s standard for budget hotel in Japan. We enjoyed the free breakfast which is adequate for us to try Japanese food. Furthermore the free happy hour was the highlight of our day after a busy day to discover Nagoya. The laundry room was next to the lobby did a good job. We’ll be back if we have another chance.
This may be a budget hotel, but the only thing about it that is even vaguely budget, is the view..... which is non existant, but hey, how much time do you spend in a hotel room staring out of the window. Very clean well appointed rooms, with good facilities and for Japanese hotels a tidy amount of space. Special bonus here is the happy hour (4-6 so that's hours) when drinks at the lobby are free (yes free) but this is Japan, they don't abuse it so you shouldnt either. Breakfast is good and gives a reasonable selection even for the finickiest westerner. A word to the wise, if you are very tall 6'6"+ say, you may have some issues with the bathroom, my 6'8" could not stand upright, but height restrictions are a general issue in Japan.
This was my second visit and it was good. WiFi has great speed and easy to use. Breakfast was better then other similar type hotels I stayed in Nagoya. Yes restaurant is in open as you enter the lobby but it’s was ok for me. Best part is Happy Hour from 6pm to 8pm so it’s always good to have could drinks before heading out for dinner and yes when they say Happy Hour it means just that. It’s FREE ... Staff are great and Room are standard size as most of similar class hotels. Location is great And vending machines in properly for beers and soft drinks. Convenient store opposite the hotel 24/7 Train station 3min walk - lovely authentic Japanese restaurant cross the road OTAWA I think I may be wrong but it’s great good food (see pics) It was great and perfect place for me. Would stay again …
Have free breakfast and happy hour. Small room and the temperature of the air-condition can't control by yourself. It was an basic hotel only, but I would probably choose closer to either Nagoya station or Sakae next time. Need to walk around 5-10 to the nearest station and not close to the centre of Nagoya station, Sakae or shopping areas.
