The rooms are all so well maintained that makes you want to stay inside rather that outdoors. The concierge is really helpful and customer focused. There is a big supermarket across the road. Unfortunately, the walk to Nagoya station is ~ 18 mins away and similar distance to Osu or downtown.

Just want to note that the Platinum elite member food and beverage credit is JPY 1,000, or about USD 6.75 at today's exchange rate, per guest. This is about 1/3 of the $10 USD F&B credit promised under Marriott's "Elite Benefit Guarantees" for Courtyard in Asia. The cost of breakfast at JPY 3,700, or USD 25, is not cheap either and I have had very good breakfast that costs less in Japan. The hotel location requires a bus or metro ride to the main JR station. Both the bus and metro stops require some walking as well. Otherwise, the hotel is fine. But I will probably stay at either the Nagoya Marriott Associa or the Nagoya JR Gate Tower hotel next time. Both are far more convenient and central.

This was my first time visiting Nagoya and I chose Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya as our base to travel around Nagoya and surrounding prefectures. Though it was not centrally located, but I found it not so inconvenient indeed. The neighbourhood of the hotel is quiet and less crowded compared to Nagoya Station area. It is within walking distance to Fushimi Metro Station and just around 1000 yen by taxi to Nagoya Station. Nippon Rent-a-Car is located adjacent to the hotel and within walking distance there is Toyota Rent-a-Car, so if you could not rent a car at airport due to unavailability (liked my situation this time), you could simply pick up your car at downtown. I took the airport bus to Nagoya Kanko Hotel at Fushimi and then took taxi (a few hundreds yen) to Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya, for me was completely acceptable. The hotel has onsite parking, but with limited parking spaces which are on first-come-first-serve basis for 2200 yen each day. If onsite parking was full, you could park at associate parking opposite to the hotel which also cost 2200 yen. Or you could park at carparks nearby, such as the NPC Parking opposite to Hilton Nagoya (only 5 minutes walk) and a bit cheaper at 900 or 1400 yen depending on which day. The check in procedures were quick and simple. Most of their staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was well furnished and self sufficient. My room was a Premier Twin and the first impression was extremely pleasant. My family members loved the room setting very much. The hotel has onsite restaurant Crust and a lounge. Though the choices are not plentiful, but the foods are delicious. Especially there is in-house guest set menu offered during dinner hours, with 5 main courses to choose with and serve with a small bowl of Caesar salad and a choice of beer, white/red wine, cocktail or soft drink for just 3000 yen. Also there is a kid menu set with 3 choices and serve with a cup of soup, a glass of juice and an ice-cream for just 1200 yen. One thing I want to point out is that the restaurant closes at 8pm and after 8pm, diners need to have their dinners at the lounge area and last order is 9pm. The hotel itself has room service menu (accessible on TV) until 10pm. I would like to take this opportunity to show my gratitude to Mr Kanta Hyodo at the lounge and Mr Andel Ho at front desk. Kanta was a kind young man with heart and caring. My children reminded me the other day saying that Kanta was so kind and nice asking them questions when I was away. Every nights we had dinners at the lounge and Kanta served us with smile and kindness. Andel was truly a helpful guy who could speak same language as mine. One day I planned to visit a sightseeing spot and because I could not understand the website information well, he patiently solved my queries. I express my great thanks to Kanta, Andel and those who helped me during my stay. For sure, I would choose to stay at Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya next time I visit Nagoya again, which makes me feel as a home.

I rated this 4 out of 5 stars mainly because of the room set up (new and nice), and excellent helpful prompt concierge and operator service. However the housekeeping in this hotel is extremely sloppy and unprofessional: dirty pillows (stained) on the first day, then on the 5th night, uncleaned sink, messy toilet (couldn't be bothered to keep hair dryer and pack amenities neatly), left dirty cups uncleared (the manager told us the housekeeping rule is they don't clear cups filled with any content which we thought was ridiculous), and no replenishment of new cups. I do want to compliment the Concierge staff. They were very good. Before my arrival, they were so kind to recommend and book restaurants, and during my stay, they were so prompt in helping me change my restaurant reservations at short notice. They also gave very good restaurant recommendations. Their patience and professionalism really saved this rating. The lounge service on the first day I went was slow. Waited more than 30min for my soup. Chased a few times and finally head waitress took action. They waived the bill for the soup to make up for the error which I appreciate but certainly not great impression on my first day.

A little out of the way but hotel feels newly furnished. Room is of a decent size with sofa and table, lots of lighting options. Tried the hotel restaurant - Crust and it’s one of the best hotel food I’ve tried. Very reasonable pricing and good portioning.

Great stay! Modern hotel. The lobby and design were beautiful. The breakfast was great with a good selection of options and definitely worth it since the kids are free as a member. Our family was so impressed. The rooms were very big for Japan standards. The location is a 7 since it's a bit of a walk to the nearest train station (13 min-25 min depending on the station), but I would stay here again and I would recommend it because it's good value. About a 5 min walk away are a lot of restaurants, but immediately around you is just a 7-11 and of course vending machines. Our room had 2 double beds (also rare in Japan). The beds were really comfortable. The value of the price was great. The bathroom/shower/bath tub were excellent and the room very well planned. Check in and check out were fast too. We were really happy with our stay.

Excellent hotel with a beautiful lobby and a nicely appointed room. Exterior of building is very nice looking and has a half circle car pass through--excellent to take a taxi this way. Enter the beautiful lobby that has ample seating for waiting guests and an integrated but separated lounge area that doubles as the breakfast area. Staff spoke excellent English. Room was very nice and has no bathtub, but I consider that as being a plus. Room view was good.

My wife and I stayed here in August 2023 for 04 nights. We chose this place as it was fairly accessible from Sakae and the JR train station. This hotel is new. The bed was super comfortable! The room is quiet. The room amenities were excellent, there was a coffee machine, mini fridge and 2 complimentary water bottle. All the staff were incredibly polite and helpful.Breakfast was amazing with Japanese and western choices. We will definitely stay here again whenever we come back to Nagoya.Highly recommend considering Courtyard Nagoya for your next stay in Nagoya.
