Biggest rip-off ever in a hotel! We checked out in time, i.e. until 11:00. As I had forgotten my plastic room card in the car I returned it in the afternoon and they charged me 2000 Yen for the late return of a piece of plastic! Speechless. What a bad style.

but, something happen. So the check in is a breeze, the staff speaks english pretty well and we get a huge room for three as in Japan, huge room is a big deal. most the hotels in Japan are tiny and expensive. The amenities is standart as other hotels provide ample skincare for ladies, this one doesn’t. the location is wonderful as it is in the middle of everything like food, entertainment, mall and train station, however, their washing machine successfully ruin my coat as in torn in many places and the zipper is broken as well. I washed that same coat with washing machine in so many hotels and at my home too and using so many different brands of washing machine including the one at this hotel and it just broke the coat. It’s in the middle of winter and this is my only coat, I was so upset and complain to the hotel and said the problem is in the coat as the washing machine is not for the coat, i explain many times as this is a washable coat and has been washed for many times ( i had it for almost 4 years now and been washed so many times too) and he just kept repeating the same answer too as the coat is the issue. I stated if the washing machine can’t wash a coat then it shoule put a sign as the only thing that was there is a “this machine is not for over 5kg as it will damage the machine” and this coat is just one and way below 5 kg, and it shouldn’t be able to torn the coat (if it’s a normal washing machine). I guess, objectively, staying here is okay, but if anything goes wrong, they wont do much about it or show any effort to help.

Princess Gardens is in the Sakae area which makes it easy for access to shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is in need of a bit of modernisation- Pretty drab interior, rooms were old and needed a bit more attention from housekeeping, only limited english at reception, breakfast options pretty limited. It fitted our purpose well as it was cheap and central, but probably wouldnt rush back to it
