We stayed in the hotel Laxnes for 6 nights during our Iceland visit. The rooms are very simple , with very small wardrobe - so for 2 people not enough space for clothes . The bed in our room was a disaster , so I've asked the reception for help and they really exchanged it for a better one ....

Loved this hotel. The staff was very helpful and informative. Location was easy to find and convenient to both Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. Rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was well rounded with a good amount of options. Bathrooms could have used better ventilation but that was the only negative. There was a great little park within easy...

We stayed here in February and it was a great hotel.for a short break. Good location with amenities close by and near to the town but still feels like you are in the country. Stunning views. Staff were very helpful and arranged all our trips - nothing was too much to help with

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a nice little pub at the hotel. Breakfast was great especially the waffles and the service was good. I also enjoyed having a few drinks from the bar in the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Hotel Laxnes for a weekend in November 2015. We travelled as a family, 2 adults and 13 year old son. We had a family room which was very big. Double bed and single bed plus a massive corner sofa. We hired a car for our stay as the hotel is just outside of Reykjavik and it...

A girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Laxnes for the second time on a recent trip to Iceland. We love it there- it's away from the city by 15-20 minutes, and surrounded by incredible views. The bus stop to go into Reykjavik is immediately outside the hotel, and brings you right into the city for about $3.50. Within walking...

Communication with Shaun and his team was so easy and accommodating. We were able to relax after a long flight to Iceland. Shaun advised us on walking options, food choices, transportation, etc. We were all set from the beginning. Our room, room 6 had a beautiful view of the mountains and was very cozy. Breakfast was delicious every morning. The...

The Laxnes hotel is not in the centre of Reykjavik in fact it is a fair way out. But this is its charm. Only half an hour from centre by several bus options, it has a country and other worldly feel with fantastic views of the dramatic physical scenery...I got turned on particularly as an ex geography teacher. Northern lights...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Laxnes for 9 nights and it was our base for exploring many places in Iceland. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of items. The location was very convenient for access to Reykjavik, to Highway 1 for going north or south, and to the Golden Circle. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet,...

I stayed here for my second time! I love the location, the staff, the location, and the views from the hotel. I went with friends and had a great time in Iceland, the hotel has public transport to Reykjavik which was great when we went to town for a walk round and a drink and didn't want to drive the...
