The good Ok...the good...the hotel was well positioned within the village. Plenty of parking spaces...friendly check in...and initially impressed with our unusual layout 1 up 1 down mini maisonette that was room 20...Lovely big bed...room felt homely...large wardrobe...limited drawer space though...the downstairs bathroom maybe an issue for some but not us...the room was very warm...even with the window open all...

Thank you for taking the time to write an extensive review of your stay. I'm pleased that there were many positives, although some negatives in the restaurant. We would never serve a delicate fish dish piping hot as this will kill the subtle flavours. We had a party of around 40 in our private dining rooms and the staff wanted...

My husband and I had a 2 night New Year break with two other couples and had a wonderful time. It happened to be my birthday and wedding anniversary so we were delighted with the hospitality and quality of the food we received. The hotel is very friendly and as soon as we arrived and sat by the open log...

Our two night New Year stay was everything we had hoped for. From the time we arrived until reluctantly leaving we felt really at home and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, food, entertainment and first class service provided by all the staff.

We stayed for two nights, visiting with another couple. In all respects, other than the rooms, the hotel and what it gave us was fine. However, our room, 21 was situated, I'm assuming, next to the boiler room. Each night our room was very uncomfortably hot, which was reported to reception who said the hotel was full. There was no...

My wife and I had a 2 night break for her birthday which included a day out at Bletchley Park. The food and service was excellent and the room spacious and comfortable. I would enjoy a return visit to this lovely hotel set in a charming Oxfordshire village.

Stayed for 2 nights B&B having booked directly with the hotel. We arrived mid evening on a Tuesday and just managed to get parked - that said had no issues for the balance of our stay. Big surprise to start with as our room was on two floors, sitting area and bathroom downstairs, bedroom upstairs. I either missed this in...

Booked a table for Sunday lunch, prompt service to our table and excitedly chose our food from the menu. Leek &potato soup and a blue cheese salad to start. The soup was completely tasteless with absolutely no leek flavour and zero seasoning. The salad had about 4 tiny bits of cheese on it and nothing in the way of dressing...

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your visit to our restaurant. With regards to your food I apologise if it was not to your expectation. The salad starter was a composite salad of Blue cheese, Parma ham and pear and has proved very popular. I...

We stayed here for 2 nights mid week. The rooms are modern and pleasant with good facilities. We ate both nights in the restaurant and the food was good. There was a good choice at breakfast time and plenty of it. We stayed here because we wanted to go to Warwick Castle and Blenheim Palace and its location is good...

Booked this deal for myself, husband and two friends. Good start, e mailed the hotel to discuss the rooms ( as we were traveling all the way from Leeds we did not want to be put in some pokey little rooms and find we had to stay ). The hotel receptionist was very obliging and assured us we should have...
