There are 40 different types of cider to choose from Ploughman's lunch tasted ok but poor presentation Jacket potatoe with prawns over priced at £8.90 and again poor presentation . 90s music played. Toilets very old fashioned Garden area hard to access with a baby as you have to go up steep stairs

I returned with my friend (and my wife) for a night last week. I obviously knew what to expect having stayed last year with the same friend, and nothing had changed! It was perhaps because I had my wife with me as a first time visitor that I was more aware of the Castle Inn's shortcomings, and it's worth pointing...

Just returned from another delightful stay at the Castle Inn. We've been several times before so know what to expect. Even more pleasurable than ever - food generous portions and delicious and served by pleasant and welcoming staff. Everyone we encountered was happy, warm and friendly and all the guests appeared happy to be here - many of them revisiting...

Called here for a drink and to check it out for dinner that evening. They couldn't have been more unfriendly and chatted to each other whilst supposedly serving us. The bar was pretty scruffy and uninviting. So, one quick drink, and off to the pub at Lulworth Cove.

We stayed here for 1 night over this weekend, the hotel is very tired looking and dated, it desperately needs a darned good clear out and clean.... We stayed in an extremely overly priced £95 for a room with unkempt decor and furniture, the bathroom was dirty, the beds were very uncomfortable, music blaring out from the bar below, food...

The food is like the stuff you get at bad service station, and the service not much better. The place is scruffy and dirty. Given its location on the road to/from Lulworth Cove, it seems this Inn is simply trading on the passing tourist trade and doesn't care for its reputation. There has to be somewhere better to eat/drink in...

we have just returned from the Castle Inn today. Usually I do not believe the reviews on trip advisor as everyone has different ideas. The Castle Inn is overpriced for what you receive. The bedrooms are stuck in the 1970's sheets are not very clean. The room is dusty cupboard drawers falling off. The shower is dirty. This morning when...

If there was a trip advisor for dogs, this place would score well. Definitely dog-friendly, with bowls of free biscuits dotted about, sausages for breakfast and plenty of other dogs to sniff. Unfortunately, humans fare less well. The rooms are dated, tired and shabby. The mattresses are appalling. The bathrooms are, err, basic. And the walls are paper thin. As...

We stayed at the Castle Inn a few weeks ago. We arrived around 8.00pm, when we went through the front door, (which could do with a carpenter to have a look at it, as its sticks terrible and makes a loud noise when people come and go, not a major problem, but when your room is near the door, it...
