Our hosts, Dallas and Bob welcomed us with a wine tasting of local wines with canapés and provided supremely comfortable accomodation followed by a delicious breakfast. Naseby is only a short car trip from the Wedderburn section of the Otago Rail Trail and one well worth making. Delightful historic gold mining town with a great pub providing excellent quality meals.... More

Stayed overnight while doing the Otago Rail Trail. Great accommodation; warm, comfortable beds and well situated in the quaint town of Naseby. Hosts, Dallas and Bob, were very welcoming and generous with their hospitality; local wine tasting and canapés in their own beautifully decorated lounge was a lovely way to finish a day on the Trail. Breakfast was delish. Thanks... More

My wife and I stayed at the Old Doctor's Residence in Naseby while cycling the Central Otago Rail Trail with another couple, and to say it lived up to its reviews would be an understatement. Jan and Grant were friendly, helpful and charming hosts and by the time we left after a two-night stay we were already talking about a... More

What a stunning place to stay in a beautiful part of the country. The Old Doctors Residence was stunning and luxurious in every way with beds to die for. Jan and Grant were suburb hosts. They went out of their way to ensure we were looked after in every way. Grant even gave us curling instructions. Jan's cooking was amazing.... More

Jan and Grant have two rooms - one is large and sumptuous and the other less so, but nevertheless both are comfortable and the linen etc is beautiful.
