This isn't linen napkins and room service.... it is a very friendly, home from home, in a cracking location. We were 7 walking, where we could have doubled up on rooms and made it much cheaper - as it was, we had a room each and it was still decent value. We really enjoyed the meal in - its not...

We booked last minute for one night. The owners were very friendly and the whole place had a homely, welcoming feel. The meal was very nice - and there was lots of it - with the owner constantly offering the guests more of this or that. They also have a bar with a range of soft and alcoholic drinks available....

We recently stayed here to attend a nearby wedding. The location of the hotel, just over the road from Loweswater lake means it has an ideal setting with magnificent views. The owners Lorna and Keith, could not be more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and set us up well for the day ahead. We stayed in a lake...

Stayed two nights. Very good. Nothing too much trouble. Comfortable and cosy. We'd definitely stay here again. Leave the car and walk round Loweswater. Stop off at Kirkstile Inn. Lovely. It s a bit like going back in time at The Grange but in a good way.

We booked to stay for a few nights at The Grange Country House in Loweswater to attend a wedding at the village hall. As the house was fully booked we stayed in Lucy’s Apartrment, which is a self catering unit. The decoration may be slightly dated, but it is comfy, cosy and clean. The king size bed is firm as...

The kids & I loved talking to Lorna & Keith and they made us feel like family. Had a hearty breakfast before we headed off on our trek. Can't fault...

We return to the Grange regularly for our main summer holiday which says it all really. We prefer the self catering facilities as it suits our dogs better and the welcome we receive each time is genuine and appreciated. Wonderful location with great views and smashing walks that start straight from the door it's everything that we want and we...
