The Kirkstile Inn is a really splendid Lake District Inn. This is the second time we've stayed here in November and we all enjoyed it again. The bar is a really lovely cosy place to spend some time and have a few beers! Perfect. The range of real ales and quality of them again

As a base for our 4 day walking holiday the Kirkstile was amazing. Every night we were spoilt for choice when it came to picking our meal. Breakfast set us up for the day. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. And the Loweswater Gold was greatly enjoyed. We will be back.

The Wheatsheaf at Lorton is definitely the nearest to The Kirkstile and they also have statics. Alternatively, I believe there are spaces behind The Bridge at Buttermere. Good luck with your search and enjoy.
