We did a 100k bike ride and over 1000metres of climbing so were keen to find a place for lunch, rebuild the carbs and enjoy a great view. We spotted the polish place and were given a table outside with an amazing, simply amazing view. The polish wheat beer was sensational. The polish sausage and sauerkraut, and the tassie salmon... Having been to the Polish Place for a meal that was delicious (highly recommend the duck) it was with great excitement that I told my husband I had booked a chalet at the Polish Place for our accommodation option for our friends wedding on the mountain... sadly the excitement wore off pretty soon after setting foot in the door. The... More

Very roomy & clean chalets. Great facilities. Lots of birdlife in the area, and you can see a variety of birds just at the main reception/restaurant area - well worth a visit -especially at Sunset! Simple and nice breakfast hamper. Stayed 2 nights over Gold Coast Show weekend.

Lovely place with beautiful views! This room is run down & in need of a renovation in the kitchen, & lounge areas. The light button at front door has deteriorated & didn't work. The spa is old & didn't look too inviting but the water was hot so I jumped in it anyway! The bathroom seems to renovated in the... More

A fantastic place to stay, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Very friendly hosts, perfect food in the restaurant for the cold, comfortable and spacious chalet. However, the highlight would have to be the beautiful birds that fly around the place...a warning that they might try and feast on your feet whilst lying on the balcony :-)

My husband and I booked ahead to be able to come up in Winter, looking forward to the wood fire, charming chalet and sunset on the verandah. It was everything and more. The chalet was clean, everything provided, loft bedroom, air spa bath - soooo good. We spent the mornings bush walking, shopping and visiting touristy places. We spent the... More

The chalets look out over the valley and it was so relaxing to sit on the veranda with a glass of wine and watch the lorikeets and kookaburras with the magnificent sunset behind them. The chalets are self contained with a wood stove for warmth and atmosphere. While the restaurant isn't open most nights (only open Friday and Saturday nights),... More

We have just returned from 4 nights in one of these beautifully timbered self contained chalets. The views from our chalet were spectacular! We loved waking up in the morning and just looking out at the gorgeous views. Every day we received a breakfast basket including delicious smoked bacon and eggs and it was great to have a pod coffee... More
