This chateau has stunning views and our bedroom was fantastic. We also booked the dinner at the Castle which is 75 euro pp. However in my view the meal and wines were all incredible and well worth the cost . I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a stop if you are travelling across France

We stayed here last year on our way through France on motorcycles. This hotel is just stunning in every respect. The rooms are large and extremely well presented. The views are to die for you can see for 50 miles in 3 directions. The food has to be some of the best I have ever eaten, you do not get...

Thr wonderful location on the top of a hill was just the start, the Chateau was delightful in every way. We were greeted by a charming manager who showed us round and gave us a potted history. The chateaux has been restored and has all the necessary modern conveniences including heating, which was slightly noisy for light sleepers we only...

What's not to love about this place. Great location, beautiful, quiet, historical... You could sit in the garden and look over the valley for hours. Make sure you have dinner and enjoy the multi-course meal. Great wine, service and atmosphere.... Walk about the town, take in some local vineyards and chill! Request a room with a shower, although I think...

You could say we are regulars :) We have booked several weekends in this chateau over the past few years and we will continue to do so simply because we always have the best experience, love the castle, the high location with it's breathtaking view of the valley and the friendly staff. Each room has it's "style" the tower rooms...

To stay in a beautiful round room in the turret of a chateau for less than €100 per night is amazing. You drive up a steep hill to the village of Hattonchatel and the chateau is right at the end looking dominant and ancient. Your room keys are huge iron affairs and the walls are so thick that the free...

With these words we were greeted a welcome.... and indeed were were treated as guests to a castle. The room - they have apx 10 rooms in total - were perfect. Sizeable room, good large bed, modern bathroom ... and no TV .... this is a castle. But the wi-fi works OK. The dinner - needs to be pre-booked with...

I spent an enchanted night here on Memorial Day, complete with a turret room and a four course dinner that was the most elegant meal I have ever experienced. The grounds are straight out of a travel poster with sweeping views that stretch for miles over the French countryside. I will go back soon.

We stayed 2 nights as a family of 4 in the gorgeous Belle Skinner Suite. This chateau was rebuilt after WW1 by an American, Belle Skinner, and it retains the design and character of a luxury chateau, having been made into a hotel with 10 bedrooms only 10 years ago. It is probably the best quality accommodation in the Verdun...

The manager gave us a complete history of this marvellous Rennaissance chateau fort which was bombed during WWI but rebuilt by an American benefactrice. Its on a promontory facing the German border and has a wonderful view overlooking the plains below. Very comfortable stay, nice breakfast with bacon and eggs, croissants, etc. and perfect little lounge area with Wifi (but...
