Good lodge... typical small rooms and nice common areas. The lodge was crowded and seemed slightly understaffed, possibly because it was so late in the season. Good food and great view! About what you come to expect at national parks.

We enjoyed 2 snowy days in early October at this lodge. The lodge itself sits on the rim of Crater Lake, with a long porch and rocking chairs looking over the lake. While we enjoyed the snow, it would have been nice to visit at a warmer time. We were able to enjoy views of the lake for a short...

1. Would you pay $230 a day, to stay in a 100 year old hotel room, on the 3rd floor in 84 degree daytime temperatures, with minimal wifi, no AC, no TV, and no pool? Yes -that's why my tight fisted ex-wife divorced me long ago! 2. Xanterra runs the two hotels in the park: Crater Lake Lodge and Mazama...

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Easy access to all of Crater Lake NP. The room was nice on the third floor with an overview of the lake. Sitting on the back porch at sunset is an awesome experience. Dinner options are limited to the dining hall. Food was great but prices can be steep. Overall a great...

The lobby is lovely with 2 roaring fireplaces and lots of places to sit. Outside on the balcony overlooking the lake, there are lots of rocking chairs to use. The dinner I had was delicious, fairly expensive (New York City prices) but I expected that. Make sure to get reservations as it fills up quickly. My room was quite small,...

Just what we were expecting! Even though the lodge was renovated in the 90's, it still has that warm and welcoming atmosphere. There were 4 in our group and the 'loft room' was perfect, with 2 queen beds. It's not cheap to stay here, but it's part of the whole experience of visiting Crater Lake. Our dinner was not cheap...

Well worth stopping in to see the lodge with it's two nice size fireplaces and large porch overlooking Crater Lake, even if you aren't going to stay here or have dinner in the restaurant. We had the combination lunch plate of chicken salad sandwich and a cup of clam chowder. There are not many places to grab a bite to...

We booked a room in this lodge a year in advance and the only rooms left were handicapped accessible. This turned out to be fine as the room was on the first floor. The bed was comfortable and the room was basic but functional. Of course you do not stay in a national park lodge for the amenities but to...

Worth every penny just to experience staying at the lake. This is classic NPS lodging so do not expect spas, bathrobes and slippers, much less a turn down service. You go here to experience American values. Having traveled the world I see how lucky we are to have our parks.

Booked our room about a year in advance so we could enjoy the meteor showers in August. Crater Lake National Park and the Lodge are very remote and there was construction on the road that takes you there. But once you get there it is so lovely and breathtaking at every turn! The staff was so helpful and kind. The...
