My husband and I stayed for 6 nights in September in a Creekside Cabin. The cabin was nice. The front line staff are nice. General Manager made no effort to get to know us at all despite our unusually lengthy stay in comparison to most guest stay lengths. Had opportunity to ask him about something once - he came across...

RJammer, Thank you for your feeback and information regarding your experience while staying with us in September. We take all of your concerns into consideration on how we move forward with our guest service operations at the lodge in the future. As the General Manager of the lodge I make ever effort possible to ensure that the guests at the...

We stayed 2 nights in Sept. It is pricey but felt it was well worth it. Bus ride was amazing. Scenery was spectacular, saw lots of wildlife on the way out, not in. Driver was very knowledgeable and was happy to stop to let us take pictures of animals or beautiful scenery. We had a creekside room which was comfortable,...

Valerie B, In my opinion you were able to see Denali National Park as it should be seen, in early September with the fall colors! At that time of year you have a few added benefits of visiting us at the lodge that I think others do not necessarily consider. 1. Sunset or Alpenglow is at a reasonable viewing time....

The bus ride there was full of amazing views and wildlife. We got to see four of the five big animals in the park and of few of the grizzly bears up close!. Nice touch at one of the stops to offer beverage and cookies. The location of the lodge is great and the cabin was rustic and comfortable. There...

Ncountygirl, Your visit to Denali National Park and Kantishna sounds like it was perfect. You had great wildlife sightings, ample opportunities to get out and explore the area, great weather to see Denali, and even the rare opportunity to see Alpenglow on the Mountain at night. Truly a great experience that is very rare, even for those that spend 4-6...

We stayed for 5 nights with our 2 young adult sons. Especially enjoyed the hiking, massage and the evening presentations from the naturalists. Food was great too. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great vacation in the heart of Denali National Park.

We were a group of 10 touring Alaska in June. Our stay at Backcounty Lodge was wonderful. It's a long bus ride in, but absolutely beautiful. The bus driver stopped when there was a wild life sighting so we could take pictures. The Lodge is just wonderful. The entire staff is friendly and there to help you with whatever you...

Islandbornflorida, What a great experience to have while staying in a remote location in Alaska!
