We stayed here for 2 nights as we explored the volcano. This secluded hotel was a great place to stay after the day at the volcano. It's not really a hotel, its just to rooms attached to a private home. The rooms are decent size, not very large, but certainly big enough for 2, I would not bring a family...

I live on the island but there is so much here that maybe the average tourist does not see or take advantage of, this little bed and breakfast a perfect example of how sometime destruction is necessary for regrowth to occur on our planet. The property At the Craters Edge is surrounded by lush tropical jungle. The little B&B is...

We were astounded at the beauty of Craters Edge. It was carved out of thick rainforest. There are just two rooms. Haiku Garden is where we stayed. Two walls were floor to ceiling sliding doors looking out at the rainforest. There is a four poster bed with netting on the posters. There is a wooden walkway to a private sauna....

This beautiful, but small, property is tucked away in the tree lined streets of Volcano, HI. It's well hidden in the trees and is the perfect place for a couple to relax, escape, and unwind from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The property is a small "B&B" with only 3 rooms. Quotation marks are used because the breakfast...

Unfortunately I was fooled by the favorable reviews of At the Crater's Edge and booked 3 nights here. Unlike all of the other hotels we made reservations at throughout our vacation, this place charged us immediately and appears to have the strictest of cancellation policies (presumably to prevent people from either turning away immediately pin arriving or from canceling the...

We selected this place because it was close to Volcanoes Natl Park and Hilo. It was just about two miles from the park and about a mile from the very small town of Volcano. So for us, the location was just right. This place is very unique in a beautiful jungle-like setting. It is a private property with a main...

We thought we were staying at a place close to the volcano, but it was a long way from the crater, the national park, and the little village. The place is quiet and rather secluded. The room was nice, but the bed was a jump off the floor for me. My stomach got upset one day and I wondered if...

My only complaint was that it was difficult to get up the stairs to get to the unit we stayed in. The property has great potential yet lacked something for my personality. The rooms are set up like hotel rooms and not like a B&B. It was confusing to us if the place was a hotel with two rooms or...

The rooms are beautifully appointed and feel luxurious. This is especially apprecaited after a hot and/or rainy day of hiking around the volcanic. The gas fireplace is delightful as is the hot tub; especially after a cooler wet day. The hosts are gracious and purposefully unobtrusive to provide privacy to guests. Breakfast is stocked in the rooms (cereals, yogurt, banana...

Just left the Craters Edge after 2 nights exploring Volcanoes National Park. It was the perfect base, only 10 mins from the park and from Volcano village where there are a number of places to eat including Thai Thai restaurant which was so good we went both nights. The Craters Edge is just 2 rooms, very private and quiet with...

“Only two rooms, Haiku was more private.”

“Although Haiku Garden and Nahelelani rooms are outfitted virtually identical, the Haiku Garden room is slightly more private as it faces away from the entrance / driveway, so others staying on property won't pass by your windows.”

“No pool. Just an amazing jacuzzi in a jungle setting.”

“the 2 back to back rooms we saw were either facing the entry or the hot tub. If you are alone on the property, the hottub location feels more private. Good info about the island and volcano park is provided, have dinner at the Volcano House and view the glowing crater in the dark afterwards, but try to get back in time to use the hottub.”
