1st trip to RML. Went with exceptionally high expectations and they exceeded them in every way possible. Great fishing, food & folks. I've been on good & bad Alaska trips and this was absolutely the best. Bears & eagles were an added attraction too. Ryan & Heather have really put together a 1st class operation. I highly recommend RML for... More

Our first trip to Redoubt. The greeting, the food, the attention, the accomodations and even the company... exceeded expectations. All in a pristene location with exclusive access, is there another place like this? What may not have been emphasized in other reviews is the multiple opportunities to enjoy yourself and the ease with which your guide will help you determine... More

This was our seventh trip to Redoubt Mountain Lodge. The staff really know how to provide a luxury experience in the wilderness. They go the extra distance to ensure that each guest has the best trip possible. The guides work hard to tailor each outing to give the guests what they want. My husband and I spent 3 days and nights at RML and had a marvelous experience. Our joy began with the floatplane experience, which was as marvelous as the accommodations. Ryan and Heather were gracious hosts and worked magic to attend to the needs of each one of the guests. Our guide, Andrew, was patient with our weak fishing skills... More

From July 3-9 RML gave us the time of our life. We had no experience whatsoever about Alaskan salmon hunting and aim was not to come & fish but to catch fish. And we did...even to the extent when coming home one of us had an overheated tendon (although first fearing for a thrombosis) : reason : too much action... More

My husband, 12 year old son and I spent 3 days at Redoubt Mountain Lodge in July, 2014 and had the most amazing experience ever. Having spent some time at the Lodge this past July I could not have been more satisfied with the entire experience. Outstanding staff, superb accommodations, some of the best food in Alaska and one of the best fishing guides (Josh Smith) ever to touch a fly rod made for a trip of lifetime. Heather, Ryan and the entire staff is... More

I have flown into many remote camps before and the accommodations and staff at Redoubt were by far the best. As with most fly in camps, the trip is very expensive so people need to judge the cost versus what they are trying to do. We went in September with Nick Fucci on his photo tour and we saw bears... Went to Alaska in August, 2013. The one thing we HAD to do while we were there was to go on a bear-viewing adventure. We were lucky & chose Steller Air in Homer, Alaska to fly us into bear country. We had no idea what to expect-but, Wow! Our pilot, Stephanie, explained on the way over to Lake Clark National... More

I am sure that if you requested it, Heather and Ryan would have gotten a bag of chips for you...that is just how accommodating they were. I just visited with a group of 15 including children, and I was so impressed by the level of service and the attention to details. The staff is both knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Heather cooks...
