We were travelling to Lassen NP in an RV so this was an obvious place to stay. We always use the NP campgrounds when possible, they are usually in great locations in the heart of everything good and offer good value. This one did not dissapoint, set in woodland and close to the lovely lake as it's name would suggest....

This is a large and well maintained campground in a beautiful area of the park. There are lot of campers here, but there enough trees and things are spaced out enough that you don't get bothered by your neighbors much. The facilities include plenty of water taps, restrooms and trash cans to make things convenient and comfortable. Each spot has...

We camped at Manzanita Lake in our RV and two tents. Our site was spacious and the campground was so quiet. They have times you can run your generator - around meal time, so other than kids playing and a few dogs occasionally barking there was no other noise. We stayed in B loop as it is first come first...

We went there in July and booked two campgrounds for a group trip. The location is great with a nearby lake and excellent kayaking. The lake itself also has a view of Mt Lassen and the reflection of the mountain on the lake is spectacular. The campgrounds are spacious and has enough space to put up two tents. It could...

Stayed here for 1 night without reservation. Was plenty of spaces. Had a great fire pit bathrooms were clean and close. Nice campground for dry camping and we enjoyed our visit to Lassen. It was more than we expected so that's always a good thing.

We stayed two nights in the campground. We weren't in the tent only loop so it was a little noisy with generators running. There were also several groups that could get pretty noisy. The sites are a little bit close together so we could hear everything the neighbors were saying. The bathroom was clean enough. There are coin showers at...

Beautiful weather in the late summer. Lots of hiking and the campground store has mega stuff to choose from. Flush toilets were much appreciated. Kids should bring their bikes, (adults too!). So many trips to choose from.

We camped here over the 4th of July weekend. We had backup reservations at North Summit lake but happily took one of the 12 open and non-reservable spots at Manzanita lake in Loop D, which is for tents only. The weekend was crowded with rowdy college age groups but they all cleared out Sunday morning so the rest of our...

We stayed in Loop A15 in a small RV and in June but the park was not as busy as we had expected despite the holidays having already started. The sites had plenty of space between them but they were very open so you were like a viewing gallery to all you neighbours and they seem to have taken out...

The main problem with National Parks is that they are very crowded in summer. We visited Manzanita Lake Campground at the end of September. It was pretty empty as the temperatures dropped precipitously at this time of the year. We spent the afternoon hiking around the lake, listening to Geese and watching their flight patterns. I must say that at...
