The cabins at Sol Duc are cabins. No AC but as it is the Olympic Peninsula it isn't an issue. The windows provide great cross ventilation. The inside of the cabins are very nice. The beds are comfortable and really nice after spending the day hiking in the park. Deer wander around in the morning hours which is fun. The... More

Olympic National Park is amazingly beautiful. We stayed in a cabin with no refrigerator for two nights and it was very relaxing. A cooler was sufficient for two. The hot springs were nice if a bit crowded. The staff were excellent. A fan would have been nice as it was unusually hot. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Many reviews talk about the condition of the swimming pool and mineral pools. They have worked around that now by reserving the largest mineral pool to only be open after 6pm. The others have been open all day and it gives you a great way to enjoy a clean pool later in the day. Bugs are going to land in... More

We had a two queen cabin with bath for two adults and three younger kids. It worked but was a tight fit. The cabin without a kitchen had a small couch. The cabin with kitchen did not have a couch. The rooms were fine but not special. The hiking near here is great which makes this worth a stop. Do... More

Our cabin at Sol duc Hot Springs was in the blazing sun until nearly 9pm. There's no air conditioning, which is fine, but there are also no table fans to help cool the room until the sun goes down. Ridiculous. We were very uncomfortable in the cabin - there was a nice breeze on the porch but it didn't penetrate... More

We got a little cabin with a kitchenette while we were here. Very rustic but fine. The hot springs themselves felt great but there are some issues. The water is pumped in so you don't get that sand or rock bottom pool you expect. Also, it was packed. If you stay there you can get in an hour ahead of... More

After 2 days in Seattle we started out to Olympic National Park. We stayed at Sol Duc, Lake Cresent and Lake Quinault lodges - all needing reservations well in advance (9 mos. or more!). Sol Duc was probably the best place to start our tour as the lodges just got better! Sol Duc is the most rustic of the three... More

When we stood at Sol Duc, we had high expectations, hoping to explore the natural beauty of the National Park and having a nice place to sleep and relax. This was not the case. The girl at the front desk Jennifer was very rude. Never once smiled, was not helpful at all. She seemed extremely irritated to have to help... More

The room was fine, it was clean and comfortable. No issues. The "hot springs" aka large concrete hot tubs were pretty scary. Lots of people and unidentifiable floating substances. I prefer my hot tub at home actually. The actual pool was nice though. Dinner was good, nothing outstanding but solid all the way around. If I could ignore what we... More

I haven't stayed in National Park resorts before but the friends with me on this trip have. They were disappointed in the housekeeping efforts (or lack thereof) for the cabin. Two of my photos show the bed making skills of the staff. In addition, they did not vacuum or wash out the tub. The beds were comfortable and a coffee... More
