The John Muir Lodge is located in the heart of Kings Canyon Sequoia National Parks. So you have the shortest driving time to the park attractions. There is a decent restaurant nearby. Also a store where you can get hiking supplies and other things.
We stayed in the Lodge for 2 nights while visiting Kings Canyon. The Lodge was everything we expected. The restaurant was nice but the staff need much more training. We ate in the restaurant at least six times. The restaurant was never full or busy....More

Actually, our review indicated that cleanliness was not a problem. The hotel is dated and service is spotty although friendly. Please be aware that we stayed in the lodge itself and not one of the cabins.
