The pictures all show the most picturesque beautiful rustic vacation spot and the truth is far apart. This place is managed by a slumlord and the cabins haven't been updated for 30 years. The staff is temporary, nice kids spending a few months out of the year then moving on to their next job. The owner lives in Bulgaria and...

Very rustic resort. You can dine in or outdoors. The menu is small, but the food is great! They serve their sandwiches on plank boards, which is pretty cool. Their pies are freshly made and are delicious. Nice size servings as well. It is cooler up there in the summer and very enjoyable. Plenty of places to hike. The only...

We were going to camp in the Mineral King area of Sequoia National Park when we happened to see a bear trundling through the woods. This scared the heck out of my wife who refused to stay in a tent. We then came upon the Silver City Resort and found they had several cabins available. We chose the honeymoon, a...

We spent 3 nights in the Paradise Ridge cabin with 2 of our kids (20 &21) joining us. Great family time for meals, games and hiking. The staff was very nice and helpful with all of our questions of the area. In the evenings Zack would stop by to see if we needed any firewood or any help with the...

If you're a hiker and want to be in a place with quiet and solitude then this is a good place for you. Unfortunately me and my companion are not hikers so there was little for us to do except play games The problem with this is that there is no electrical outlets except in the chalet's, which we didn't...

What a lovely place! We enjoyed our stay in Forest Glen cabin very much. The kind and courteous personnel in the store was very helpful and their pie with a generous serving of ice cream was amazingly delicious. Not mentioning that the Silver City Resort is less than 10 minutes away from the trailheads to some of the most spectacular...

We LOVED this place but it is not for everyone. We stayed in one of the historic cabins (with 'historic' meaning old); no electricity, an old gas stove, hand made kitchen cabinets, no insulation (you can see slivers of daylight through the walls), a fire pit and big deck with chairs and a table. Oh, and a cute little mouse...

Horrified to find we were invaded by bed bugs and resorted to sleeping on towels on the floor which quite frankly was more comfortable than the mattress. The bed linens was filthy the shared bathroom facilities were disgusting. We left the next morning after an uncomfortable night. We moved to re LUXURY of a 1 star motel in 3 Rivers!...

My family and I recently returned from this "resort." It's not a resort, it's a dump. The rooms and bedding are filthy, the food in the restaurant is inedible, and the staff really are incompetent. To make matters worse, getting there involves taking your life into your own hands on a perilous one way mountain road where death lurks around...

We stayed in Saw tooth for only 2 nights and wish we had stayed a week. Bring your provisions, wend your way by car for 90 minutes by road and enjoy the glorious isolation but great hospitality and do not forget to get some pie!
