    On the highest peak of Sunset Campground you can see the Central Valley landscape. Absolutely beautiful. The only concern is that there are small campsites enjoying this view. People such as myself that did not reserve a spot here might appear to be a nuisance...More

    Look for the sites with sights of the sunsets! These would be along the west side of the campground and some of them offer exceptional views of the sunsets. These can be very small sites though due to the terrain they are in and the...More

    I have read that firewood is available at the General Store at Grant Grove Village which is close to the campground. We are camping there starting tomorrow night, so will post answer soon.

    Sunset campground is centrally located in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in central California's rugged Sierra Nevada range. This group campground is at an elevation of 6,500 feet.
