The place itself is great. The restaurant has very good food and the place itself is very clean. My biggest gripe would be there was only a small seating area to have a drink, no bar, and the stupid Utah laws where you must order food in order to have a drink (not just in the Lodge, but the surrounding... While they promote themselves as an historic hotel, the only thing historic about it is the location. Zion is an exceptional and beautiful national park but the lodge and cabins are like a 1960's motel that hasn't seen much updating since then. It is clean and is the only lodging located inside the Park. We stayed in a cabin for... More

Thank you for reviewing Zion Lodge. I am really sorry that you were disappointed in the size and style of your accommodations. While the Western Cabins are certainly original, from the 1920's, you are correct that the Hotels and Lodge have seen improvements that classify them as more modern. I do appreciate your comments regarding a clean room and am... More

I was pleasantly surprised after checking into Room 102. We’ve stayed in many national park lodges, and this was probably the best in the U.S. that we’ve stayed in thus far. It was large, clean, rustic and nicely furnished. (I’ve posted photos.) I asked for a motel-style room close to the main lodge, facing the lawn, per the recommendation of... More

My wife and I stayed here for four nights: October 23, 24, 25 and again on November 2nd. We returned here for our final night of an eleven day "grand circle " tour of the 5 national parks in Utah. We were able to get reservations for our last night on short notice (4 days) as it was not the... More

After a less than stellar experience two nights ago at the Luxor in Las Vegas (stains of a dubious provenance on blanket and pillow and poorly responsive management in remedying the situation) we are very happy with our stay at Zion Lodge. Friendly, courteous and efficient staff, beautiful, clean rooms with Shaker style furniture in keeping with the rustic surroundings,... More

Having previously stayed in the hotel part of the Lodge (unfortunately this was full when we booked) we stayed in a cabin this time, they are spacious and well themed for the park and very well sited for access to all areas of the park. However the cabin was filthy. There were yellow splash marks on the inside of the... More

Cabin 534 smelt of an old peoples home, that hospital smell..not nice at all. Considered asking to be moved but were only staying one night and it was late. phoned reception for another sheet as I felt it didn't smell fresh and it never turned up.. I am afraid for $189 on a Sunday night this lodge is poor value...... More

This lodge is charming, in keeping with the National Park system. We had a room with an extra sitting room and deck with two rocking chairs. It had a smart layout with two sinks on either side of the shower/toilet room. The lodge itself is lovely and charming as well.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Zion Lodge. The lodge is located very close to the most popular hikes -- Angel's Landing, Emerald Pools, the Riverwalk -- so getting around is a breeze. The staff is outstandingly nice, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the amenities offered are terrific (I particularly enjoyed the fast in-room wifi). The rooms... More

We stayed the night in a cabin and it was very nice, ceiling fan, gas fire place and best location possible. Two queen beds and even WiFi. We were able to get up early amd were the first ones at the emerald pools. Plan to stay here again loved it.
