Detailed Reviews
We stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer! Totally open living space with en-suite bedrooms. Veranda straight into the trees, and a hammock for extra amazingness!
Clean and fresh with a hugh toy box for our kids, a great pool among the trees and very quiet.
Host fluent English speaker and very welcoming. Drive up is a bit scary first time as road is very steep but you get used to it!

What could be better than a fortnight of sun and warmth in the French West Indies when the weather at home in NW Europe is almost at its wintry worst ? Three of us (my partner and one of our good friends) recently spent two great weeks in Guadaloupe - new territory for each of us. This island is really two islands joined by a narrow mangrove swamp and our first decision was to spend our time in the western half which has the misleading name of Basse Terre; I say misleading as it is quite mountainous.
For a short visit to Guadaloupe, a car is a necessity and our second decision was to stay on the west coast of Basse Terre for the two weeks of our holiday. Happily, I came across a reference to the gites owned by Victoria and Yves Lansigu who are based in Bouillante. In fact they have two groups of gites, one at Bouillante and the other a few minutes drive north at Pointe Noir. Our first week was spent at Pointe Noir and the remainder of our holiday was at their second site, happily named Les Jardins de l'Espérance.
The four individual gites at Bouillante are on a hillside, surrounded by lush forest with a small but neat swimming pool on site. Our two-bedroom bungalow had a nice balcony with a kitchen and sitting/dining area; each bedroom had an en-suite bathroom and each was equipped with air-conditioning. The beds were comfortable and their was ample storage in cupboards and chest of drawer units. While we mostly ate in local restaurants and cafes, the kitchen had all the equipment that any visitor might reasonably require.
The comfort we found in these gites contributed in no small way to our overall experience in Guadaloupe. Having that first cup of coffee each morning on the balcony while watching humming birds flitting around was just one of the many pleasures of Les Jardins de l'Espérance; the fact that the cost was very reasonable was also a another significant plus. I cannot recommend them too highly !

We spent some days at Victoria's place near Bouillante. The apartments have a great outdoor kitchen and sitting area, beautiful garden with lots of tropical plants and flowers and a swimming pool. The drive down to the beach at Malendure is fantastic. A great place to chill out. Definitely recommend this place to land on earth after a busy time.

Very welcome. Hosts accommodating and responsive. Spacious and colorful accommodation in a beautiful tropical garden. In the evening it is even more beautiful with the lights. The mosquito net is a plus. The accommodation is in the heights of Pigeon. Close to shops and the sea.We had the blue accommodation upstairs with sea and pool views.

As for 2 years, always an excess during our stay.
Pleasant and relaxing, exotic and tropical setting.
The swimming pool is always pleasant after a day at the beach.
Always perfect welcome and available hosts.
We will continue to stay in the Jardins de l'Esperance because we feel good there.
See you soon for another stay in the bungalows or more if necessary.
Thanks to you from the roof

The welcome and the bungalow are a reflection of our hosts Victoria and Yves. Warm and pleasant. It is a well-placed place for hiking (La Soufrière, Deshaie, etc.). The tropical garden and the swimming pool are assets for this rental that we recommend without hesitation. Close to shops and the sea.

Dream stay at the Jardins de l’Espérance in Bouillante!
3 gîtes for 3 families in a large, very practical house, overlooking a swimming pool surrounded by a wonderful tropical garden! Perfect equipment with special barbecues, coolers, large selection of toys... Very friendly owners: Victoria very attentive and receptive for changes in day and arrival time; Yves very efficient in the event of a problem (car!)
Many thanks to both of you.

We are delighted with our stay at the Jardins de l'Espérance🤩. 10 great days in a tropical garden with sea view (we had the Rose Corail gîte) and swimming pool to cool off. The owners Victoria and Yves take great care of their guests and we warmly thank them for their welcome and their good advice for discovering Basse Terre😉🙏3 km from Malendure beach and the Cousteau Reserve and where you will have the choice go snorkeling, kayaking, go for walks to observe cetaceans, go diving...But also refresh yourself in the botanical gardens: Deshaies a few kilometers away or the Valombreuse garden in Petit Bourg....So many things to discover 😃😃We will come back for sure 😉

Bonjour, je vous ai envoyé un mail. Bonne journée. Victoria
Bonsoir,
