Beautiful and comfortable hotel right on the white sandy beach. Friendly staff, open lobby with views, easy walking or driving to restaurants. Nice bar in the lobby. Room with a balcony and good views up and down the beach. We enjoyed it and would definitely return.
It was exactly what we wanted: a beautiful, quiet beach hotel. We came at an unusual time in that the season had yet to kick in and the hotel was being prepped for it. That was great for us because it made it feel even more exclusive. The service was top notch as if it were the peak season. Ours was just a brief, overnight, stay, but it felt afterwards like we had recharged from a full vacation. I particularly enjoyed our breakfast with its spectacular beach view, the easy access to the exceptional beach, and our wonderful room with all of the little details that remind you that this is no ordinary accommodation...you have arrived in MARGARITAVILLE! (additional shout-out to your neighbor, Peg Leg Pete's just a bit further down the road, aside from the resort itself, if you want to feel like you're dining in the setting of a Jimmy Buffett song, immerse yourself in its abundance of casual, nautical atmosphere and great food). …
Absolutely LOVED my stay here!! Decor in the rooms and the hotel made me feel so cozy - so beachy! The place was immaculately clean, and I loved the big shower in the bathroom! Had one of the best Bloody Marys ever in their bar (Frank & Lola’s), and the food in that same restaurant was spectacular! I only wish they’d had room service. The hotel staff was amazing as well - from the desk clerks to the housekeepers to the maintenance guys they all demonstrated a professional yet friendly attitude. I’ll be back! For sure! Huge thanks for the awesome hospitality!! 🙏🏼💙 🏝️
We love the Margaritaville Hotel in Pensacola Beach. We have been coming for years. Great location, Great views, and a relaxing Caribbean vibe. The hotel is very nice, and it is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the US. You can walk to many of the restaurants in Pensacola Beach from the hotel, and they are all very good. But... They seem to be very slow in bringing the hotel back to pre-covid standards. They are still doing the take a number, seat yourself, and eat on a paper plate thing in the restaurant. Housekeeping has not returned to daily service, but they do exchange towels daily. Room rates have gone up quite a bit since covid ended. Hopefully the services will return soon to match the rate increases. There seems to be a change in management, which is always a worry because new management tends to want to make changes, often by "fixing what ain't broke". I would hate for the hotel to lose it's relaxed Caribbean vibe. On the positive side, the really cool bar is still going strong with great service, as always. The gulf and bay views from the hotel are still amazing, the beach access is really easy, and the beach front location on the Emerald Coast is still second to none. …
Great location just feet from the beach. Hotel was under renovation (the lobby and pool) but that was understandable considering we were there in the off season. The restaurant was open but probably shouldn't have been. Paper plates and plastic silverware for a lunch hamburger and nachos - $52.00. And the service was basically nonexistent. Bar service was okay and we got four free beers with our room. That was a nice touch. The room was very fashionable and pretty cool but extremely impractical. The top of the bed was over three feet off the floor and you needed a stool to get in and out of bed. Made getting up at night extremely uncomfortable. And the sink in the bathroom was literally two inches deep. You could not get a glass under the faucet and there was no way to shave without leaving the water running the whole time. Like I said, very chic but totally impractical. Overall, because of the location and rather whimsical Jimmy Buffett theme, we still enjoyed ourselves. The price, however, was very expensive considering the offseason and renovation that is going on in the hotel. But, I do love Jimmy Buffett!…
The hotel itself was beautiful and had a great location right on the beach. The man at the front door was super friendly and nice. However, the girl at the front desk was not. We were passing through Pensacola from Texas, on our way to Tampa to plan a funeral. We decided we couldn't drive anymore and desperately needed a place to stop and sleep. The online website showed rooms available and while they were very pricey there was no other rooms vacant anywhere on the island, so we stopped anyways. The young woman working told us we couldn't stay unless we purchased a 2 night's stay. I shared our dilemma - she didn't care at all. We left and started calling other hotels - still nothing available. Then i remembered the website said nothing about a 2 night stay, so i logged on and booked a room in a matter of minutes. We walked right back in and checked in with the same girl that refused to let us stay one night only 10 minutes prior. It was very awkward and beyond rude. I have never experienced such rudeness at a hotel in my life - very unexpected at such a nice expensive place. …
Decided on a last minute stay on Saturday night. Went to their website directly and booked a suite they were offering on the front page, figuring I would splurge a little! As I am waiting for my Uber to arrive, i receive a call from the hotel. "We are sorry, your reservation is not available tonight." I told them I have a CONFIRMATION number, etc. He told me that they were sold out and there was nothing they could do. At well over 600 for a night, this is not the expected service level. They didn't even offer a future discount or anything. So then I am stuck with an Uber ride to nowhere and no room. Seriously how can a company generate a Confirmation Number and charge you without having a room available??? Be wary.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. Check-in was a breeze and all staff members were extremely friendly. The beach and ocean view from our balcony was awesome. We occasionally enjoyed the hotel restaurant and bar, Frank and Lola, but the hotel was walking distance from many other restaurant options in the area. The icing on the cake: We were pleasantly surprised to find a complementary bottle of champagne and anniversary card waiting for us in the room when we arrived. What a nice touch and great attention to detail. We will definitely be back.
The hotel is upbeat, friendly and clean and it's in a great location fronting a pure white beach. Our corner suite had a wrapping two-sided patio and tremendous views. Pedestrian access from the parking lot is a little difficult and the parking garage was closed for repair (desperately needed); we had to enter via a steep winding ramp to the 2nd floor lobby but access should be a lot better once the garage is opened up. Every-day housekeeping was very good, the bathroom was large with both a tub and separate shower. The closet was huge. The only drawback to this hotel was the restaurant. We ate there for breakfast and they had a limited menu; you had to order at the front restaurant desk and then everything came in plastic dishware and silverware - looked like takeout. It was not inexpensive, either. Strange.…
The hotel was very comfortable and really nice. When we got there an employee named scott, helped us with are stuff and was very nice and friendly. He helped us have a good time. The beach view from are balcony was beutiful.
