Our experience at the Margaritaville hotel was excellent from beginning to end. On arrival the reception personnel were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The rooms are spacious, very well maintained, and splendidly appointed– all furniture, for example, is of exceptionally high quality. The restaurant is excellent – and with a friendly and efficient wait staff. While at this hotel we slept well, ate well, and walked for miles, as of course the location is terrific, right on the extraordinary white sands of Pensacola beach. If one wants a fine, luxury hotel experience (and at a reasonable cost) we highly recommend this hotel. The Margaritaville Hotel is simply first-rate – this is a superbly run establishment, where all the complex moving parts mesh smoothly and, apparently, effortlessly. We look forward eagerly to our next stay.

Lovely location right on the beach. The hotel is away from the other hotels in PB, so feels a bit more exclusive . Certainly the beach outside the hotel is very quiet compared to the main stretch. It’s about 5 /10 mins walk to the centre of town where most restaurants and shops are.

Hotel is lovely and rooms very large. We found the staff very friendly and helpful.

Having read a few recent reviews I would agree the hotel let’s itself down in a few easy to fix areas:

Bedroom floors were dirty and felt sandy. A number of other reviews have commented on this. We cleaned the floor with a face cloth -see photo!

Daily housekeeping should be the norm now, covid is and old excuse. Most other hotels we’ve stayed at on our road trip provide daily.

The 18% auto service charge on everything food and drink related is not necessary especially as every tab leaves a space for an additional tip! This feels like a money making ploy.

For a $500 a night hotel why is food and drink served on paper plates and plastic cups? Fair enough by the pool but not in the hotel bar/restaurant .

The restaurant food by the way is good but very limited to burger/taco type meals. They’re missing a trick here, a full service restaurant would be very popular.

Beach chairs $50 per day ( plus tip) is ridiculous. There is a borrow box on P2 of the car park , door at rear of hotel.just under reception. This had a few chairs and umbrellas. If not go to Walmart.

Also as no beach towels provided, use pool towels.

Overall a lovely hotel but the experience could/should be better given the premium price.

Just got back and had a fabulous time. Every associate we encountered seemed happy we were there and friendly. Entire resort very clean. Room great as always. When we texted to get anything it was quickly delivered. Frank and Lolas have a much more complete menu, better pricing but still in styrofoam and no table service. Pool clean and plenty of towels. Our only disappointment was the person who initially checked us in. Last year we also visited this week to celebrate our anniversary and they recognized this on a board at the front. This made her smile and was so happy she took pictures and posted them all over social media. I told the person it was our 33rd anniversary and he said he would make sure it was recognized. Nothing was done. Yep many would say that’s minor but it was important to her and I hate she was disappointed. Next when we checked in he saw we had requested a upper level room (we had 3 reserved- one executive and 2 king deluxe). He told us he found us all rooms on the 7th floor and confirmed them by charging my credit card. Once the rest of the party arrived we had a room on the 7th floor, one party on the 6th floor and the other on the 5th floor. Disappointed we all were. If management wishes to know more please contact me- there can’t be that many people that reserve 3 room in this configuration. We are Bill and DeeDee. Other things to note. In the summer you may consider lowering the heated pool temperature by a few degrees. When you have a steel drum entertainer in the bar turn off the piped in music. We love this resort and will return!

The location is great it is close to the boardwalk and restaurants yet far enough away to be peaceful. While we liked the resort we did have a problem with the lack of service. You have to take out your trash and bag up your dirty towels and text for replacements. Sometimes the text were answered and others they were not met and you had to call down to the main desk to have towels, toilet paper, etc brought to you. If you are staying more than 3 days you can schedule a room cleaning, but being at a beach location you do have a lot of sand in the room. While everyone had a good attitude we did not spend the money that we did for vacation and have to wonder if the text message get through or will we not have clean towels when we get back from the beach. We have stayed at Margaritaville in Gatlinburg during Covid and they would come into your room to replace towels, toilet paper and coffee. And if you were staying more than 4 nights they would automatically come in to change your bedding unless you requested otherwise. This is the level of service we were expecting and were disappointed in what we did receive.

Thank you for choosing to be our guests and for providing such valuable feedback. Although a tough read, your candor is appreciated and we apologize your experience was not the stellar standard we have become known for. We have since adjusted our housekeeping model to provide automatic service like our friend in the mountains. We certainly hope that on your next Margaritaville Beach escape, you will notice the adjustments we have made in efforts of improving our new normal.

There was nothing going on in the hotel because of Covid 19. Landshark has been closed since November, and we were not made aware of that. Only boxed food was available, and it was way overpriced, as was the rates for the room in a hotel that was offering you nothing. They should have given customers a break on the cost because everything was shut down. The floors in our room were all filthy, as was the floor in the shower. Furniture was old and tattered. We called for new towels, which the would only deliver if you were not in the room, and after being on the beach for hours, we came back to the rom to find we didn't get our towels. Why not? It's not as if they were so busy taking care of customers. Nothing was open. Do your self a favor, don't go away during this pandemic, unless you know exactly what you are getting in to.

Thank you for choosing to be our guest recenlty and for taking the time to provide such candid feedback. We sincerly apologzie for the housekeeping challenges. We can only hope that we were afforded the opportunity to correct those during your stay. Landhsark is open seasonally and due to COVID-19 we closed right before reopening it for the season and with new ordinances we were unable to open the bar altogether. We look forward to the day we are able to reopen everything! We hope you are able to return to Paradise then and when you do- please reach out to me! It would be a pleasure to assist you with your next Margaritaville getaway!

We had been looking forward to our 7 night stay at this hotel. The things that made this hotel stay seem like a cheap motel are as follows:
1. Bring a step stool to be able to get into the bed!!. We had a king size bed. My husband is 5'11, he had a hard time getting up on the bed because it is so high. I'm 5'5" and had to use the the nightstand to hoist myself onto bed!
2. Floor was sandy when we arrived. Sand was still in the grout.
3. Shower kept going off and on while trying to take a shower every time! We asked a repairman we saw if the water system was being worked on.. he didn't seem to know. This went on for the whole time we stayed there! There was a card in room when we arrived that stated water in room would be shut off at 10 p.m. and sorry for inconvenience.
4. The resteraunt might as well not be there. The menu is the same even if you order from the bar area. It is Bar food! Served on paper plates with plastic utensils. Noone is ever in resteraunt that we could tell. Person at the entrance standing at podium with table number cards and menus looked lonesome.
There isn't a breakfast.
5. For the price we paid for 6 nights over 2100.00 you would think there would be help with luggage. None available.
6. T.V. had some sort of cable. There wasn't a guide to tell what the channels were. Not many at that.
7. Furniture in room looked old and was scratched up.
8. No effort made by housekeeping to ask if we needed our room cleaned, more towels or sheets changed. I had to ask after the 3rd day for towels. 2 towels left. Sheets changed after the 4th day. So ridiculous for the price we paid.
9. Balcony floor and chairs had bird droppings everywhere.
Anyway, I could go on.. It was so very disappointing to us. If we hadn't rented a car to get around as we had flown in, the stay would have been unbearably boring at this place.
The name sells this place, that's all we could say.

My husband and I had never been to Pensacola Beach and decided to visit a new place for our anniversary. I looked at all the other nearby hotels and one of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because It had a pool bar. Unfortunately it rain three out of the four days we were there. The one sunny day we had, when we sat by the pool, the bar was not opened. We had to order drinks inside. Its not a deal breaker, but it would have been awesome not to get dry & cover up to go inside. Honestly due to this reason we just ended up not ordering that much from the bar. The food at the restaurant was pretty good, but due to the lack of employees, you have to order at the bar then they deliver the food to you at the table. We stayed in one of their king suites with the side deck. It ended up being great since it rained so much, and kept us from feeling trapped in the room. The bed was pretty comfortable as well. Here is my one recommendation, if you drive to this location make sure to bring your own coffee supplies. I bought some K-cups that we like, and our own creamer, sweetener & coffee cups. Also, make sure to bring slippers or socks, as there is no way to prevent sand from being on the floor. The room was clean, but with bare feet you can feel sand here and there. If that would bother you, make sure to wear something on your feet.
Overall, all the employees were super nice and helpful, just like every place in the country right now, they seem to be lacking employees.

The staff at this property are fantastic!!! In particular, a gentleman named Scott really went above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service. My husband and I were walking down the hall and Scott overhead us looking for pool towels. Scott stopped us and then went all the way down to the laundry facilities and got some for us. Scott was so kind and also apologetic that they were not any out by the pool. Scott sent us off with a huge smile and expressed his appreciation for our business, wished us an enjoyable stay, and said to let him know if he could help any other way.

While Scott really stood out to us, the entire staff seemed to be focused on delivering a great customer experience. Everyone was so nice.

Other pros about this property:
Great food
Incredible view
Great sound proofing between rooms = very quite and relaxing rooms.

I did see other posts here from guests that were unhappy with the decreased housekeeping services. For us, it was a non issue. The room was stocked with extra towels upon check-in, so we never ran out in our three night stay.

The only area I would say needs a little TLC are the floors in the guest rooms. They were quite sandy when we checked in. It is probably difficult to keep the floors completely free of sand at the beach, but it seemed like maybe ours did not get vacuumed after the previous guest. Not ideal for a $650 a night room, but honestly everything else was stellar, so all-in-all it was an absolutely wonderful stay and we will definitely stay at this property again.

Special thanks to Scott for the awesome customer service!! 😊

Booked King executive suite for a week for birthday celebration paid, on average $450/night and was planning for a week of pampering; decided on hotel for no cleaning, no cooking and relaxing week. Not what I received! On the plus, the room is very large size but was not clean. Killed 2 cockroaches overnight, shower was dripping with mold (pic). No cleaning services, I had to text everyday for what we needed. We were told after 3 days we would have cleaning (COVID rules) but that never happened. I stopped cleaning staff and asked if we could at least get floors swept because they were gross and sticky, gritty sand. I even asked if they would give me a broom and mop I would do it! They said they would take care of it but nothing. You can see how black my feet were from just walking on the floor to the shower in the picture. On the 5th day I asked for sheets, they brought them to my door and told me to put the dirty ones in the hallway! When I changed the sheets I was even more grossed out as the mattress cover was covered in hays and stains, almost made me vomit! The staff were very friendly and courteous but not the service or cleanliness I expected at this level of hotel. Sorry, Margaritaville, you disappointed me greatly!
