We frequently stay at this property and always leave with happy memories. Perfect location, pools and jacuzzi, splash pad for kids, hammocks and fire pits, free breakfast, on site bar and restaurant, and you’re steps away from the beach! We enjoyed a big orange harvest moon on our last night. What more could you want???! See you next time😃
This hotel was very expensive, $150. For what it was. Pros: The splash pad area was great for kids. The hamocks by the fire pit were great at night. The beach area was beautiful. Cons: the room was terrible, just old and plain. The bedskirt was dirty. So if looking for somewhere else to stay, keep looking u less the price is right here.
Wife and I booked for 2 nights. Location is great and staff good. Value was good for location and amenities. Had a few little issues, such as getting a room by 4 o'clock check in time. Checked in, given keys, then waited outside room for 20 minutes while staff finished cleaning room. Getting ready to clean up after being at pool and beach all day, and realized there was no shower curtain. Waited 30 minutes and 2 phone calls to get one, then had to put it up myself. Cable was out for most of the stay. Stay was ok, might stay here again.
This place was unbelievably bad. The pictures speak for themselves. The room was dirty. It was wet since there are no door seals. The beds were broke down. The WiFi didn’t work and the TV only kind of worked. There was hair in the bed and hairs in the bathroom. The bathroom was obviously not cleaned. The fridge was rusted and gross. The microwave was rusted on the inside with food still in it.
This hotel has it all! Location was great, Breakfast was hot (even during Covid) Fishheads food and gulf view was incredible. You don't need to leave the resort as Fishheads has a very broad choice of food options.
This hotel was saved only by a great restaurant on site, Fish Heads, and convenient beach access. Check in was easy. Room appeared to be clean. No Wifi, TV nonfunctional, and in room phone nonfunctional as well so unable to call front desk for assistance. Used my cell to phone front desk to report issues, no answer. I walked to front desk, kind man said nothing he could do, to speak to manager next morning. Fortunately the restaurant and beach offered solace to my family of four. Had to go back to front desk same evening and get towels and bath cloths. Slept ok, noise level of pool subsided about 10 pm. Met with manager at front desk next morning and voiced my issues, she asked what I wanted, I simply asked for the amenities paid for to function. She knocked $100 off my stay. We stayed 3 days 2 nights no WiFi, not enough towels, no hard line phone to call front desk. We made it through and made some good memories, however this was our last stay here.…
This hotel was so fun. We felt like we were on the set of Hawaii five-0. Very clean and some nice updates. The staff were helpful, friendly, cheery and accomadating. The whole atmosphere of the place was relaxed, fun and welcoming. The beach was perfection, white sand and pristine water plus beautiful fish in the crystal clear water. Bring snorkels or stop at a thrift store in Pensacola and get one. Watch the hazard flag on the pier or on your phone to know beach safety status. Several outdoor showers to help with keeping sand outside. The splash pad, giant Connect 4 game, corn hole, fire pits and outdoor hammocks were great. Also two inviting outdoor pools. We used the ice machine. Breakfast had hot options. Other hotels in which we have stayed recently did not have hot options. The air conditioning was ice cold, VERY NICE! Easy walking distance to ice cream and restaurants. …
We were going to stay 3 nights but left after 2, The pools looked fun for kids but too overcrowded for us. Beds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast at “fish heads” was a small pre made omelet or biscuit and coffee, the view while eating breakfast was great. Maintenance workers stayed busy, we had a few issues but they were handled. I won’t stay there again, but if your a family with young kids on a budget and want a good location this should work for you. Room cleanliness, not so much, we were told ahead that there would be no housekeeping & to let front desk know if we needed anything, but if they knew ahead that we would be there 3 nights then maybe they could of left more than the little mini soap and shampoo sample, we went to Walmart and bought soap and cleaning supplies for the room and for us. The Hotel refunded our last night because of an incident that happen, it’s not their fault but it sure ruined our vacation.…
I thought this Hotel was good for it’s price point. It’s centrally locates and on the beach too! Pros: On the beach Fair price Front desk staff were very nice My kids loved the pool and giant connect 4 game Breakfast was decent, but did come with your stay. Rooms were clean Even though it is a motel style hotel I felt very safe. Cons: I recommend spending the little extra and getting the GULF view room!! I paid for the sound view and even though I could still see the water my view was primarily that of the parking lot. This is at no fault of the hotel- people did not tend to pick up after themselves. There are trash cans everywhere but some people you just can’t teach manners to I guess Again not the hotel’s fault, there are cigarette butts everywhere. The hotel has little stations where people can discard their cigarettes, but for whatever reason people are too lazy to use them. Due to covid housekeeping is not cleaning rooms- which is fine except for the sand. The front desk brought me a vacuum to use through the week, so that was fine. Misc: Bring lawn chairs or something to sit on- I would also bring a portable tent or umbrella. they are not part of the property on the beach and you have to rent them-$40 per day The hotel does not have a gym If you forget sunscreen the hotel does not have a shop- go to Alvins they have everything you need for the beach even umbrellas you can stick in the sand They do not have washers to wash clothes so if you need to do laundry you have to go off the island. All in all our experience was a good one I would go back only next time I would get the gulf view!!!…
I just need to give the front desk clerk Sean a 1000/1000. He is such a pleasant person omg. We need more people like him in this world. I would definitely recommend this resort. And ask for him. He rocks!
