A very good country pub with an excellent little restaurant. The waitresses were attentive friendly and polite. We hadn't booked but they found us a table and served us up a very tasty meal. I opted for the steak burger which was succulent and served in an artisan bread roll with salad and accompanied by a dish of home made...

A little jewel. Given that Bucknell is off the beaten track the menu selection was fantastic and the cooking/presentation could not be faulted. All at a reasonable price in a beautiful setting. Definitely worth a visit - just sorry we didn't stay the night.

As said this is our 6th stay and Phil and his team have yet again pulled out all the stops, the food was again of the usual high quality and the campsite remains to be well tended with the grass kept at a sensible height. If anything the loo facilities could be improved but saying that they certaily won't stop...

Stayed at the Baron last night in the most beautiful room with every facility you could possibly need. The food was excellently well presented and homemade freshly. We all thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Breakfast was outstanding with everything being sourced locally and/or homemade - homemade granola was amazing. The Baron is situated in an idyllic peaceful spot with spectacular views...

Stayed here August bank holiday weekend. Can only reiterate what others have said in terms of friendly staff, excellent food, great quiet location with lovely views, one thing I would disagree with is those who say it's home from home, it's not.... it's what you wish your home would be!! The place is kept spotlessly clean, the bedroom (5 with...

My wife and I spent 5 nights there in room number 5. Breakfast was great. Service superb. Owners nice. Local's were entertaining. Enjoyed walking on the footpaths. Going into town and the pop-up cafe at the church. Good selection of real ales which is a must in my book. Dinner was good too. This is a great base when exploring...

Lovely bright comfy bedroom (no 5) with a spacious bathroom and whirlpool bath. Stylishly furnished and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant, slept really well in the soft bed and enjoyed a good full breakfast. Highly recommended.

This was our 1st visit to The Baron but it won't be our last! We styaed in room 2 at the front of the property, very quiet lovely views. Would probably ask for room 5 next time, a little more expensive but probably worth it. All the staff lovely, friendly, and helpful about the area and where to visit. Water,...

We came to eat here on a Thursday evening. We were allowed to bring Dennis into the bar area which is always fine with us. We ordered two drinks sat down and played cards. It was around 1900. A young girl - member of staff asked from behind the bar if we wanted food. I said yes but not right...

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on your meal with us. We are very sorry that you had such poor service from the waitress. I believe this was a young member of staff who had just started working for us over the summer. Wi-Fi is freely available and no password is necessary. I will ensure all...
