It’s always a risk to book a room based solely upon an establishment’s website, since there’s often a disconnect between the professionally produced photographs and artfully written descriptions and reality. We were, therefore, incredibly pleased to find that the reality of Chateau de la Verrerie not only lived up to the images presented on its website, but exceeded our expectations...

We were on our honeymoon in Europe and this was definitely the highlight of our trip! It felt like we were living in a mini version of Versailles (the most expensive palace ever built in France). The Chateau de la Verrerie and its surrounding is beautiful and picture perfect.. Put it this way, everything is picture perfect enough to be...

We've never stayed anywhere like Chateau de la Verrerie, and we expect we'll only get the same experience by going again (which we will do). A beautiful building, a beautiful setting, and not far from the beautiful Loire and Loir valleys. The decoration by Philippe and Bruno (unfortunately we did not meet Bruno) is unique (we've not stayed anywhere with...

This place takes your breath away...A perfect place to unwind, if you like gardens, antiques,decoration...then you will have your fill. The surroundings, out-buildings and gardens, are beautiful. The hosts Phillip and Bruno are excellent in their attention (unfortunately Bruno was only available to say Hello once on our visit.......I wanted to quiz him about his fantastic decoration of the Chateau.)...

Only wish I had stayed more than 1 night. Bruno and Phillipe were fabulous hosts. The chateau is a 19th century 12 bedroom that they converted to six enormous bedrooms with 6 gigantic bathrooms. We stayed in the Parma room and the decorating was fantastic. From the moment we walked in Bruno made us feel welcome. The breakfast was excellent....

An absolutely stunning Chateau. We were only booked to stay for one night before heading over to the Le Mans Classic, but we loved it so much we cancelled our next hotel and stayed for another 3 nights. The owners Bruno and Philippe are fantastic hosts and speak good English - they took the time to talk to us at...

The chateau is like a dream....one of the most wonderful places I have ever stayed at. So much love and attention to detail went into decorating each single room. Every time I looked around, I discovered something new. The chateau comes with its many stories and if you're there, do ask Bruno and Philippe, the owners and hosts, to share...

My wife and I had a wonderful long weekend at this absolutely magnificent Chateau within its own beautiful grounds. Our hosts, Bruno and Philippe were so attentive, from helping us decide where to visit during the day and even providing itineraries to booking our restaurants for the evening. Unfortunately our French is below par but both Bruno and Philippe are...

“The pictures on the website does not fully justify the beauty of this place. All rooms are great (we actually checked out 4 of them. Really depends on your personal preference as each room has a different theme.”
