We were looking forward to our two-night stay at the Finca San Juan de la Isla; its website surely makes it look like a very nice place. In reality, only some parts of it are nice. We booked a standard room with a volcano view. When we arrived, we were severely disappointed at the room: * It was barely cleaned,...

Stayed here for 4 nights while on Ometepe. First 2 nights were in the "cabin" type rooms right on the lake, but after a ant infestation in our room (really....everywhere), we were moved to one of the "hotel rooms. Before the ants, the rooms on the lake are very cool and one of the best places to watch and listen...

We stayed in a cabaña overlooking the lake. There was plenty of room, no insect life, a good breeze off the lake and the most wonderful views. It was the most peaceful place to be. We saw cattle and horses in the water at different times. The food was ace. The situation perfect. It was all just delightful. I had...

We stayed one night in one of the lake cabins. What an amazing wonderful experience ! The cabin was well appointed and lovely with a lake view. We watched the cattle heard come down to the lake for a drink of water in the evening. Dinner was wonderful with good service. Security was very supportive of two giggling bug/frog scared...

This place was rented for us by our tour guides and they did a great job. Off the main road through acres of banana trees. There are about 6 (they're building more) cabins facing Lake Nicaragua, each with a deck and chairs. You can walk down to the beach from the cabin. Inside was clean and well furnished. Large bathroom....

We spent two nights on the farm with our nine year old son. We had a large cabin with an amazing view of the volcano. The food at the restaurant was exceptional and the breeze coming off the lake during dinner was magical. We had a wonderful time and look forward to another stay in the near future.

We arrived and everything was extremely quiet. Our enormous cabin had a large room (for 4), huge bathroom, and nice living room, plus a porch with a hammock and chairs. The room was airconditioned, and very comfortable. The grounds were lovely (although could use some additional landscaping) and the beach was pristine. They arranged for a great horseback ride and...

We rented a 4 wheel drive vehicle in Managua so were able to navigate the long lane leading up to the hotel. We had a lake front cabana which was beautiful with a large, luxurious bathroom, very large deck, and rather small bedroom. The local people were fishing with nets in the lake in front of us and there were...

This place is near the beach but also has plenty of jungle around it. The rooms were nice and had great mattresses. Wifi was very spotty. The food was good but a bit pricey. We gave up using the hotel for help on services. It was easier to just do it ourselves after several attempts. It's also far off the...
